This is TEW good. It's rare for new artists to have such few misses. Oh and MNEK is truly a genius producer & I have to give him his 10s. He just gets IT. The way he's able to interweave so many climactic moments within just 1 song is a big part of what's missing from modern-day music & why FLO's discography continues to stand out. Well, this past week has revealed that a lot of these "summer album rollouts" are being sidelined probably because Bey is completely taking over as she should. None of these labels are trying to set up their artists with the slightest opportunity of being overshadowed. Whether you're established, a new artist, signed to her own label, or in a completely different genre, none of the girls are exempt. So see y'all during Fall lmao

When will y'all understand there's no rhyme or reason to RCA' s logic So trying to understand it is pointless. It doesn't matter how big you are nor how many "hit singles" you release prior to an album rollout, most of their artists [asides their rap acts] aren't exempt from the weird back-and-forth album rollouts they love. Regardless, SZA needs to take this off social media. Doing this every few months isn't a good look. There's always a few holes in the plot & Punch stays looking thrown off guard, which shows someone is lying. Honestly, she kinda botched the rollout multiple times. The first lead single was released 2 years ago but the album wasn't even ready until 2 months ago. Now they probably don't want her to release it with Bey taking over the Summer So Fall 2022 it is.

After listening to it in full, it kind of reaffirms the feeling I always get after listening to a Lizzo album; she doesn't really give me solid "album artist" (no-skips, cohesive storytelling, etc) vibes as much as she does a "singles artist". I feel like her albums always have a few great hits and the rest is just... there. Anyways, my favorites were 2 Be Loved, ADT, Special, Everybody's Gay & somewhat of Birthday Girl + The Sign. 2 Be Loved is truly the standout of the album though; very addicting, the key change is genius, & deserves to be the next single with a music video.

This is not it and I say this as someone who's defended her past controversies. And the "maybe she didn't know" thing isn't going to work here. She's chronically online and especially on Tiktok so she knew what it was + mocked the exact mannerisms of Amber. She clearly wanted people to get her "joke", even if it was at a DV survivor's expense. This "break" she begged for is really putting her in self-destruction mode & showing who she really is.

It's no more than a 20-minute long EP. Released in late 2021. Even for an indie act with a huge following, it hardly made any noise, and I say that as one of the few people on here who actually liked it & was all up in the release thread. N would be burned at the stake if she made that move tbh & we all know it. Not even in the name of "Well, at least she gave us a body of work!" would the fanbase nor the public accept/understand/digest it, at least not in the same way they do for artists they have lower standards for and whom they allow to just drop their music & go. If we're being real, no one is going to be satisfied with anything done, said, or released besides N1 Hence why I kii when some of Nation (not you, this is mostly in general) does the "at least [insert artist doing worse than her stats-wise] has ____" as if it would've made folks any less dissatisfied lmao.
