Is Bey the only female in music without an actual bad album?

 

We could argue about IASF, even tho is kind of a sell-out generic pop album it’s still a lot better than a lot of pop albums out there. Not a masterpiece but nowhere near a bad album like Bionic, Joanne, Witness or Britney Jean.

 

Her debut is also mentioned sometimes as one of her weakest efforts but is not bad at all and the main objective of that album was to make her a super mega star, which did its job and more.

 

There’s EIL which imo was actually weak and bad, but is not officially one of her albums and is under The Carters name.

 

What do you think?

Not a fan but her discography is pretty solid - however some have less usable songs than others. Lemonade had terrible staying power - self titled can still sound fresh sometimes.

I think there’s a very huge difference between a commercial album and a bad one.

 

DIL and IASF are commercial, but necessarily bad.

She doesn’t have a complete dud like others artists but some are obviously stronger than others. The last 4 studio albums are solid.

yes, with the last three being undisputed masterpieces

DIL is the only one we could argue about, but the singles are so great that they eleveated the album, so yes, i agree, her discog is Immaculate

Oh gosh, wow, no, not at all.

 

That’s not to say she has any particularly bad albums - I don’t use a few of the early ones, but I don’t think they’re actively bad in the way some other albums are. But there are plenty of other women who could be easily argued to have zero bad albums to their name.

I'm happy you enjoy them but I couldn't get into the lion king one

Her last 3 albums are basically her Top 3 tbh

even tho it's not just hers, the album with Jay-Z is pretty cute (and underrated, yall need to give it more love)

but some of her first albums are..really not it (the singles are great tho)

Yea...It doesn't exist in my catalog but that I am/SF is definitely not that girl

DIL exists.

 

No one is going to convince me that an album with songs like "Daddy", "Gift from Virgo" and "Hip Hop Star" is good. The singles carry that album.

 

I know people rag on IASF too but I prefer it over DIL.

I would consider quite a few of them bad actually 

 

the common consensus is that IASF is trash.

Bionic should not be listed with those albums, it’s pure quality excuse you

It was panned from what I can remember back in 2010

Objectively, she has one of the best discographies of an pop girl  Certain users here are brave criticising her with their avis 

OP is right - she has multiple!

DIL is one of her best albums. Yall do too much. I'm betting the last time a lot of you heard it was 15 years ago.
