She got old. What exactly did you expect her to do? Retire? Record adult contemporary songs?

Most artists to kill to still have some relevance in their 5th decade.

Also this version slaps. The original is still the best but I was expecting the trash fire that was the Frozen remixes.

She became a victim of ageism. This remix itself is fine and nobody would have a problem with the video if she was a younger woman.

Take a deep breath, this was the same woman only three years ago:

She served a dud like many times during her career (which is still more interesting than the majority of mainstream videos today). Let's talk about the times she actually tried and failed.

nothing?

ha haterz stanz got old and frustrated with life while madonna got old and remains having fun.

The video is tastless even for a young woman.

Specially for Madonna, and not because of her age, but because something is wrong with her and every year is clearer.

30 years ago, half of her current age and she used to be capable of said something bolder than just... show her plastic ass :skull:

o,

Why do yall want Madonna to act like an old woman so bad? Does she really need to dress up like Joni Mitchell or Dolly Parton? She has always defied expectations and this rebellious fun side that she's showing right now has been her spirit since the 80s. I don't get why we have to shame her for it. She isn't harming anybody

Nice try for her

Sadly this is the exception instead of the rule. When 30 years ago used to be the other way...

She can be whoever she wants to be. I'd rather hear her at the grocery store than all the boring ****

Did I mention she need to act like an old woman? :skull:

Nobody is shaming her for having fun, but something went wrong with her because de falling free quality in her out put is pretty clear.

Just watch the videos.

Is sad, utter sadl.

Nothing?

She was chasing trends with that "Kylie by numbers" album back in 2005 and she is chasing trends now.

Madonna has lost her artistic integrity after American Life, wake up y'all.

30 years ago she did the same thing. Shock factor without substance (Erotica) and low budget camp I guess (Deeper and Deeper).

Maybe you just aren't a fan of the artist she is these days, which is fine, but that doesn't mean that there is fundamentally something wrong with her just because you no longer enjoy her output.

In the first half of her career, Madonna's entire artistic identity was primarily based around rejecting the societal norm of what an acceptable young woman is. In the second half of her career, her artistic identity is based around rejecting the societal norm of what an acceptable older woman is. I'm not really sure what else you expected. Again, if you don't enjoy the music or videos she is making at this point in her career that's your right to your opinion, but it doesn't mean that something is wrong with her because she isn't existing inside the box you feel comfortable with her being in.

And I respectfully disagree with you that the video would receive the same criticism towards a younger woman, unless you have just been living under a rock and missed a large amount of the music videos released in the last decade that are lauded as being body positive, sex positive, and empowering.

Except now she hasn´t be capable of do the same with... substance, quality.

The lyricism is beyond basic, bland, a blatant copy of the lower bar in the music industry.

That's my question. What's wrong with her?

She's capable of something more transcendent.

She has always been like that, she is after the attention, the scandal, being hip, in and cool.

She can't change now.

The difference is that when she was doing that before, she had a vision, she could package it better. Now she's just having fun and not feeling the need to dress it with artistry.

And frankly that remix is fire. I hope it becomes a hit for her.

You sound old and bitter. You dont have to follow her if you dont like her output anymore. But dont make it like its her problem. Btw. people 30 years ago said exactly the same things about Erotica era...how ironic  that now her bitter, old "fans" use same arguments :rip: Shes having fun and you waste your life talking about her on ATRL :toofunny2:

But that's just your subjective opinion... so nothing went "wrong" with her, it just isn't to your taste and you don't enjoy the music she is putting out. That's okay, you don't have to listen to it, you can go back and listen to her old music and watch her old videos because they will always be there to enjoy. Other people will enjoy what she is doing now, that's just the way music and art works. While I do think it's been a long time since she has made a truly great album, Madame X was at least her most adventurous and experimental work in a long time with some of her greatest work in years, and I personally think this new remix is good and I enjoyed a few of the other recent remixes she has released.

Of course that´s my personal subjective opinion about a public figure.

I still love her, enjoy her music and defend her when is necessary.

And Madame X is a good album. Would be better with just 10 songs ;)

All the insecurities she never allowed herself to feel from 1958 to like 2016 caught up with her all at once and they fundamentally changed her personality and poisoned her body. There's no subtlety or nuance or humor or humanity to anything she's done since the end of the Madame X Tour. Never has she been more immature than in her 60s, never has her idea of sex - always integral to her art - been so juvenile. She was too strong for too long I guess, the dam cracked and crumbled and took her artistry and her control. I miss her control of her face and body, it was legendary. Now she thinks she's twerking but she looks like a hunchback with fused vertebrae, her mouth garishly agape and her face stretched from here to eternity. How about just don't twerk, Madonna. At least she can still hold a conversation and string coherent sentences together unlike some people, but I wish she wasn't on a stubborn self-sabotaging mission to undermine her fans' dedication over and over again for the sake of making a point about ageism in the worst way possible.

When I think she can't go lower she surprises me. She's constantly exceeding my expectations.

I'll give her that.

This, I've never seen an icon embarrass her legacy like that

The essays in here lol.
Remix is an absolute bop and she’s having fun. She’s more fun at a party than 90% of people younger than her including a lot of y’all miserable ppl on this site.
