I know Kylie's fans are gullible and deluded but this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read on here. Kylie's never had any artistic integrity to begin with considering she's been following in Madonna's footsteps since the 80's.

 

COADF was a highly polished and produced masterpiece inspired by 70's disco with a futuristic twist. The songs flowed well into one another, whereas Light Years was nothing but a very cheap, overblown, extremely camp dance-pop attempt mixed with 60's flower-power and rock alternative. Both are very different. Kylie herself must've loved it considering she went on to work with yet another one of Madonna's producers for Aphroid!te to try and replicate it's sound/success (a pity neither happened)

Don't twist my words when I compared videos only, not music or overall era presentation. Erotica and DAD are cheap and tryhard compared to other videos of hers. But the point is she improved again, did a few good videos and hit another low around 10 years later. There are ups and there are downs, saying she had a immaculate run from the beginning until a certain point in her career is a lie. And obviously she's in another low right now (after having her most elaborate era since forever). And time will tell whether she improves again.
