Billie Eilish debuts questionable lyrics

Spoiler

They’re coming for her…

Honestly, IMO, I HATE when artists do this. I hate when they try to add politics and social commentaries in their songs without having the pen ability to make it look natural and effective. This just sounds like such a try hard and it came out really tacky. The song is great tho so I will be ignoring

thinking about her dumbass brother writing down that line about amberheard and roe vs wade and thinking yes, i DID THAT :ahh:

not this again zzzZzzzZzz.

She is right and she should say it. The entire planet was perched for that circus making fun of a domestic abuse victim and making TikToks with her testimony. Jack Sparrow stans were out in full force yet it's always crickets when other male victims of abuse speak up (esp when they are queer). It really doesn't take much to understand what Billie is saying with that lyric.

I’ve definitely seen worse. This is obviously just her venting about how shitty things are

What's wrong about this?

It looks to me like they just searching for stuff to attack her for

so I guess nothing relevant to see here..

It’s giving when Lana sang “there we were singin Black Lives Matter”

To be honest, this would’ve been better if it had a little bit more context within the lyrics. It just looks like she threw it in there for shock value, even if I know that this wasn’t her intention. Like the user above said, you can almost see her and her brother being like “wow, we did that” after writing that.

Could also just be me tho because I HATE lazy political references in songs

I personally think the reference is a bit lazy and could have been worded better, but other than that I don't see how its dumb or anything wrong with it honestly. And it seems like Twitter is just searching for something to cancel her, again.

I don’t think it’s dumb, it’s just a little tacky :coffee: the quotes on that tweet are coming for her tho

I don't see anything wrong with it. What is actually wrong is that person with Krystal as profile pic made that thread, don't disrespect the real queen like that :gaycat5:

I dont think anything is wrong with it, but it does seem a bit out of place considering the context of the song

I thought it was a little awkward but trying to act like there's something morally wrong with this is disingenuous tbh.

We as Lana stans are in no position to come for anyone else for writing cringy political lyrics :thing:

Y'all still take twitter seriously? Everyone hates everything there, nobody even cares at this point

The songs was excellent and acclaimed, and frustated people online will be mad over nothing per usual
