I’m listening to In the Zone all the way through for the first time and high key think it’s better than Blackout overall.

Isn’t that well-established? I wouldn’t call her an album artist, commercial success aside.

in the zone i think

but both are excellent and her best albums

In the zone by miles

Blackout is hands down the most overrated pop album ever.

the album that has Freakshow

aka a career highlight :jonnycat:

Honestly. So much of it is just...noise. :rip:

Right!! & lyrically it’s terrible dear god. In the zone was the right direction for Britney such a shame she took several steps backwards.

I think In The Zone has standout tracks that are higher highs, but Blackout is the overall more cohesive album — if that makes sense — easily both her greatest bodies of work though

Blackout is obviously better to listen to alone. But Into the zone is great for throwback parties. Even tho Blackout has songs that go off in the club, I hear Toxic, Me against the music and Outrageous way more in public and IRL

ITZ by miles, on every single aspect. She was at her beauty peak, looked healthy and happy and the music was good and timeless.

Blackout got to be the most overrated album ever... at least among pop culture fans. It's a good album which the singles are obviously the highlights but became overrated years after due to Britney's situation that year (which some gays claim as iConIQuE!!! but for me it was just sad).

itz is excellence and i dont think she'll ever be able to put out a body of work that's as good ever again

i also hate blackout cause i think the shoots just hideous :deadbanana4:

Blackout is a very good pop album but ITZ kinda obliterates ha :giraffe:

In the Zone obviously, like the 1-2-3 punch of Breathe on Me to Early Mornin' ( one of her best songs) to Toxic. Truly a Trifecta of Slayage

For the first time? Are you not embarrassed?.gif

OT: Blackout in my personal preference. People calling either "overrated" are tasteless.

Blackout is bops after bops after bops when it came out but it aged like milk, i can hardly play it in full since 2010.

While In the zone balances things out with the amazing midtempo (Touch of my hands, Breath on me) and the ballads (Everytime, Shadow) and it aged like fine wine. Still sound so fresh after all these years.
