SOUR bigger than any Ariana era

SOUR. Ariana had to perform and spam her face on every promotional slot known to man around the globe and the album still did beyond mediocre numbers with 5 singles.

What's mediocre about it? 

I'm fact, only 6 female albums have better streaming numbers than ME

I meant sales, sorry lol. Pretty much SOUR already outsold ME in a year and in a much worse sales climate, on top of also outstreaming it.

Arguably Sour bigger than any Ariana era.

Both huge, completely different albums, My Everything is a full pop star era while Sour is a classic bedroom pop album. Sour is the epitome of huge organic album, My Everything had more push, hopefully Olivia will have Ariana's longevity cause she certainly deserves it 

Sour is bigger but her music is not for me so far.

Sour is obviously bigger but that is fine.  Ariana has comfortably had a great career.

My Everything is bigger bc streaming was non existent then, which boosted Olivia…. Ariana had huge hits.. Problem, Bang Bang, One Last Time, Love Me Harder, Break Free

OT: My Everything was a huge era and paved the path for greater successes in Ariana's career. It is weird to see how its big success is undermined in todays climate. All of the songs were big hits (especially Problem and Bang Bang) and One Last Time to this day is still quite played. Not to mention, being one of the most streamed albums of all time?

Sour was bigger than any of Ariana’s albums, but that’s a testament to how big Sour was rather than how “small” Ariana’s albums have been, since ME was already pretty massive

Olivia is also selling more pure album sales than Ari did back then despite pure sales climate was much better then.

Sour sold 70K pure sales first week, ME sold 170K.....

 

Do you have the exact numbers in regards to pure sales for each album? This may be true but Ariana's singles and era as a whole still felt bigger than Olivia's. Love Me Harder, One Last Time alone were all over radio for YEARS after that era and still to this day. I do not deny tho that Sour is massive in terms of streaming and ultimately sales, as well as its 2 big singles DL and G4U

i don't think any of Ari's albums have sold 1 million pure copies in US yet. Sour also hasn't reached that mark yet but she is selling 7-8k pure copies every week with no signs of slowing down. 

ME era was huge but Olivia is having incredible longevity with SOUR, the album has spent about 50 weeks in top 10 in different markets around the globe and still in top 5/ top 10 globally. Sour singles were pop culture moment, won 3 grammys, huge acclaim. So in my opinion Sour is bigger. 

Sour kinda bigger than any Ariana era but let’s see if she serves her longevity and cultural impact too.

both have around 700k~ from what I could find
