Now that is a lie.

 

Singing wise, she could easily do this. There's nothing in Shallow that she hasn't shown in her songs or live performances before.

 

Writing wise, well maybe she wouldn't write this song, but the idea that she doesn't ever write is a myth perpetuated by haters. The actual people who work with her have only consistently stated how involved she is. Whether she writes alone anymore is a different scenario, but it's not as if this is a solo-penned track by Gaga either.

OT: I don't think it would be quite as big, even if the same situation happened where it was performed in the film and then at the Oscars. I think a lot of its commercial success came from the GP and the Adult Contemporary audience of America buying into it and Gaga had already sort of prepped them with Million Reasons, while many seem to have felt upset with or unhappy about Beyoncé post 2016.

She lacks the raw emotion to sing that song in a believable way 

It would be a massive upgrade and that is no shade to gaga.

Just facts

She could have made the song go number 1 without a male feature and a multi-million dollar campaign behind her, organically 

Beyonce’s voice doesn’t fit in that song

 

Shallow is great, but Bey’s tracks are usually more complex vocally 

It wouldn't be an Oscar winner, might be a hit with longevity if she actually sent the record to all radio formats, and probably wouldn't go #1, but there would be no Thanking Bradley Cooper. 

 

Thank God Beyonce has never needed a GP-serving soundtrack to rescue her from the rubble of a declining music career.

The see-saw in quality has been jarring for an act of Gaga's caliber.

I hope that Tom Cruise movie soundtrack can rescue her again ... because Chromatica was yet another disappointment.

It'd sound better, that's for sure.

 

It would become even more grating than it already is with unnecessary vocal acrobatics, harmonies and lots of growling.

Bey has a SOTY Grammy and her writing on Be Alive was recently nominated for an Academy Award

Probably wouldn’t have charted, or would’ve served 97-OUT like her latest OST single from a very promoted classic movie

 

Beyonce’s name simply has zero hold on the public in 2022

It probably wouldn't have done well but I don't doubt it would have sounded better.

It would actually be listenable unlike gagas grating screams...

Based on? When was Beyonce's last hit? Imma take a Top 5 as a hit, so when was her last solo top 5? Gaga's was in 2020.
