I'm 22 years old doing plastic surgery

Featured Replies

Am I too young?

I already had a hairtransplant (which I'm VERY happy with) and next week I'm getting chin and jaw fillers because I currently have no jawline and a small chin.

People around me tell me that I'm very good looking already and that it's sad that I'm already changing myself at this age. My mother even cried about it.

It's not that I find myself ugly, it's just that I would be happier with a better jawline and chin (I think). I'm also thinking about removing the dark circles around my eyes with the use of fillers.

For a lot of people, once they start, they never really learn when to stop. There's always going to be something you can find wrong about yourself, and you'll continue to want to "fix" what you deem as a flaw. It can become quite costly.

I mean, yes you are too young but it's your body and if you feel the need to change it, do it.

I'm also 22 and if i had the $$ I'd do at least a rhino

if you have the money and are happy about and because of it

I don't see why not

that's no such thing as too young if you know deep down in your heart that you want it

cause it's a fact that it's gonna chance how people treat you

you can definitely benefit from your change

I mean you being more confident alone can earn you some good luck

I totally support you on the hair thing, I would've done the same

As for the chin/jaw I mean I guess fillers are not as hardcore as an actual plastic surgery so you could try and worst case scenario you don't like it, you would just have to wait until they dissolve and everything comes back to normal (?)

Maybe they're worried you will become addicted to these cosmetic procedures. One has to know when to stop and judging by how celebs act, it's not easy :michael:

If you have the finances then who is anyone to tell you how to spend it.
If I had the extra money, I’d had already touched every part of my body with plastic surgery.

Like you, I don’t find myself unattractive at all, quite the opposite, but there are areas and problems that bother me and I would have fixed if I had the resources to do so, so do it.

If you won't get easily addicted it's 100% okay. I'm at the same age and I would've done some things only If I had some cash:gaycat5:

I totally support you, as long as you have the finances to do it its your body

Im 19 and had botox and hair transplant in 2019 as well. I definitely try to get a lot of opinions though, you don't want to end up like ariana or nicki who continue to get procedures year after year. Like other users said it is not a replacement for building self worth. I know it may add up over time as well, i try not to fixate on my looks as much

I mean do it if it makes you happy :)

I for the longest hated my nose, and got a nose job over a year ago and I love it

I also wanna get my chin and jaw next

and my eye bags gone and my cheeks buccal fat removal

I’m not ugly or insecure I just wanna look better

You make the impression that you did your research and thought about your decision for some time. I think in this case you're an adult who can make their own decisions and therefore not too young. Doesn't mean I would do the same in your position, but you can think for yourself.

This is so true tho. Surgery isn't a replacement for feeling self-worth, it can only help with that.

A little off topic but...this interests me. Isn't there a more permanent way to end this? :cute:

Anyway...you need to be careful and not going overboard. The hair thing is totally fine but sometimes when people aren't happy with their appearance after plastic surgery they do even more to correct that and it's a never ending cycle. But whatever makes you happy and be careful before doing something too permanent that you may regret

if you are secure in how you look then you wouldnt be going to get anything done so theres always a risk that this will just be a slippery slope for you into more plastic surgery, make sure you have done your research on fillers they are not temporary

Support ?

Do what you want with your body. Never stop doing plastic surgery if that makes you happy.

Yes and it’s not even a surgery where you have to fall asleep

your doctor can do it in the office and less than an hour or so.
here in LA my doctor was charging me 3k to removal

and was also gonna do my eye bags use my fat and put it under my eyes to get rid of the puffiness

look into it love

Don’t do fillers under your eyes

I did and it’s such a waste of money

I’d rather do the procedure to have it more permanent

If it makes you happy then go for it, it’s your body, but I also think you should know when to stop, that’s the key. There will always be something that can be better, but true beauty lies within imperfection and the things that make us different.

Buccal fat removal ages you. Look at pictures of negative reviews on realself, they all look haggard and gaunt. If you get it done only have some of it removed.

Do what you need to but please just take your time. The amount of people I’ve seen cross that line and destroy themselves permanently is ridiculous. And it’s hard to uncross it. I suppose fillers are not permanent but don’t be surprised is they migrate and you don’t get the results you hoped for.

A hair transplant is understandable, experimenting with chin and jaw fillers is whatever since they are temporary.

We all have one or two features we would "fix." Just note that if additional fixations develop it is likely you have body dysmorphia and should seek counseling instead.

Proud of you honey :clap3:

I did my first plastic surgery when I was 21 and never regretted till this day.

Had my Hollywood smile done.

I have Botox every 3 months and full body laser every few months.

No one could care for you but you, and if you have the coins do it as long as it’s legit.

You’re definitely not too young. I had my surgery done when I was a couple months away from being 17 and I do not regret that.

Pretty dumb at your age, but it's your life. Just don't overdo it I guess.
