Do you use Apple/Google pay?

Apple pay, or I’ll use my credit card’s ”tap” feature. I went to Walmart Saturday night and they didn’t accept Apple Pay. I felt like I was in the dark ages

This is crazy and I’ve seen so many Americans say it. Asda here is owned by Walmart and every one I’ve been in (which isn’t that often because they’re trash) accept Apple Pay.

Yup I use it all the time since I don't like to take out my wallet every time. I also use it for my train pass!

I would if this 3rd world country would accept it. Like 50%+ stores don’t even take anything other than cash :rip:

no. i went to use it once and it didnt work and it was awkward. its much easier to pull out a card then having to open apps

I’d prefer that tbh since it’s much easier to save money when it’s cash and you can actually get a grasp of what you’re spending but it’s so inconvenient here even though I held onto it for as long as I could.

Yes I do, it's so quick, secure and easy. I use it 9/10 times, I go cash only in the places that (still) don't accept card payments.

Hmmm i don't know where you are but in here (Europe) you just need to tap your phone on the card machine, no need to open any apps. It literally takes less than 5 seconds

I didn’t because iPhone couldn’t recognize my face while wearing a mask. It felt clumsy to pull it down to point my phone at my face quickly. But since mask mandates have gone away in the last few months I have used it more.

it’s just faster and more convenient

I use Apple pay all the time, it's very convenient, I just wish more places accepted it

I use Google Pay. I need to remove stop using it because I tend to go broke by Monday.

It works with masks now too since the latest update!

I used Samsung pay all the time. I haven’t used my Apple Pay at all yet

I’ve been using Apple Pay almost exclusively since 2016-ish? It always blows my mind when I go to the US and there’s no contactless payments in most places.

That's weird. I live in the US and aboutm 95% of the places I go to, even the mom & pop shops have apple pay/google pay(whatever it's called)

OT: Yes I love Apple pay, it's so dang convenient, like someone else said maybe a little too much, because I don't have to worry about carrying my cards anywhere which are in my wallet which is where my ID/License is lol. & Sometimes i need my ID/License. But anyway yes. Best thing ever made.

Wait… the US doesn’t have Apple Pay?

Damn… you girls are missing out.

We do. Just some stores don’t have the readers. Many do though, it just depends on where you live and store(s).

I use Apple Pay but I also always carry my wallet with me because I need my license to drive and digital licenses in Apple Wallet aren’t out yet.

because of apple pay i don’t go to walmart, i mean how ghetto do you have to be to not take apple pay in 2022?

in August they are debuting it.  That's what the cashier told me yesterday.  And they are getting rid of cigarettes.

I use Apple Pay, especially on my phone.  I get 2% cash back.  If you just use the card it's only 1%.  I've amassed almost $300 in cash back since I started, and I think that's a lot.

not at all. my card can pay the same way, so why would I have to take my phone for it?

Apple Pay. I never carry my physical cards I don't remember what cash looks like tbh

Yes I love using Apple Pay!  I actually get super annoyed when stores don't accept it because I hate taking out my wallet and/or typing in card numbers.

At this point, any businesses accepting credit cards should be required to have terminals with contactless payment capabilities. :coffee2:
