sorry dorlin i shouldn't have generalised. i'm sure you're great at your job and on reflection the admin team at my undergrad uni were great. i didn't need to contact them often but they were always helpful and sorted things first time around.

 

despite being signposted to this incompetent hag she made every effort to redirect rather than engage. highlights included 1) insisting my name and address weren't on the copy of the letter i sent her (they were in the top left like in any other letter), 2) claiming part of what i sent her wasn't from the same document because the formatting of the pagination changes after the second page (when an entirely new section starts) , and 3) trying to palm me off to two(!) other departments with an excuse which, if true, she should've said in her first reply when it was already evident.

The past couple of days I've really come to the realization that my support group is pretty much non existent. I used to have really good friendships a couple of years ago at my old job, but we've all sort of drifted apart especially since people moved away for college. I thought the people at my new job were good and I'd be fine but it's just not true. The energy I give is never given back. I feel alone, and there was a time I used to be content with that (before my old friends) but now I'm not sure. I know I'll be fine soon, just wanted to vent to get it off my chest
