When I was younger I was naive and was like, "No men are misunderstood!! They're not all bad!!" which they're not BUT men think and only care about two things: their ego and sex. Now that I'm not as naive as I used to be in my early 20s it doesn't really affect me anymore because when I'm dealing with a man I know what I'm dealing with but it doesn't make any less annoying.

Yeah, I simultaneously don't want, yet desire, to be with a man. The struggle between the two has been getting worse lately, within roughly the past six months. The lies, inconsistencies, aggravations, attempted manipulation etc. has been at an all-time high and it's infuriating. Over the holidays, I briefly reconnected with a guy I once knew. We were always a little bit rocky, but hadn't spoken in years, so I thought I would have a fresh start with him—being that I hadn't talked to him in roughly six or seven years. Surely, he had to have grown since then—as I have. Long story short, he attempted to dehumanize me—considering me just "data on a screen"—and that I should want to have sex with him because what I felt "didn't matter."

 

At this point, however jaded I may seem towards gay men, I have a right to be. Because it's the same thing, one after the other.
