Città Vuota is kind of a classic here in Spain. I checked her album not long ago because early in the year I watched Claudia Cardinale's Girl with a Suitcase, and a lot of the scenes with music were honestly so beautiful, gorgeous, and dramatic. So I had to check out how gaggy the Italo-Pop girls were, and omg... Studio Uno is kinda giving album of a lifetime.

I've also discovered "Nessuno mi può giudicare" by Caterina Caselli, "La bambola" by Patty Pravo (another classic here), and "L'appuntamento" by Ornella Vanoni... and whew, the collapse!

I'll definitely check more out because I'm obsessed with the genre/sound.

Nessuno Mi Può Giudicare is THE unapologetic Italo-pop anthem: for decades (and still today) it has been embraced by all targeted minorities in this wrenched country. Caterina always protected indie artists with her self-made label, and even launched some of the biggest (and best) contemporary artists, such as Elisa!

Ornella has one of the most sophisticated and timeless discographies (+ she was also a kii during her interviews and a wonderful person behind the scenes), Eternità is one of her many phenomenal tracks too
