I’m not discrediting their work. Kpop idol groups are good performers in packages, but they’re not musicians. 
 

People who can’t accept that are too sensitive that in every group there are members that are no more musicially talented than the average person on the street. Might as well call everyone in this thread a musician too when they get up to do karaoke.

Yes, because in the western world executives don't hand pick their acts, they go on the subways and notice who is singing or playing the violin on the streets and say "Hey, there do you want a 5 album contract" for God's sake, every pop act is manufactured to some extent, every act under a MAJOR label is a product of some sort and only HUGE artists get to to choose their "musical direction" like i don't get what you are trying to prove? There are dozens of untalented people who have had successful careers.

Yeah and I wouldn’t call untalented people with successful careers musicians either.

Regardless of their abilities as musicians there has to be recognition and kwoledge for acts who write and produced their music, also, not many acts have that chance, Stray kids and Gidle come to mind as the most popular ones to do it recently. Many idols create choreography, like honestly there's so much work behind the scenes we don't know of that could be made by the idols themselves I am not saying they are genius musicians but what they do should be respected imo.

Then let me introduce you to Beast/Highlight where all the member write, produce and direct their projects and their imagery. 

Where even one member conducted a whole symphonic orchestra for one his album. 

 

I guess they are not artist nor musicians. 

 

Big Bang are criminals and no amount of #1s on gaon is changing that, cope with it VIPs.

And I’m saying, in both of those groups there are still members that are not musicians and should not be respected as such.

Now that you mention it, BB is probably the last male group that deserved the respect as musical artists in the kpop industry. The last female group would probably be Blackpink.
 

All other groups have too noticeable of weak links. Especially Aespa and Red Velvet.
