In a way yes, but they dont have the same amount of resources as a regular sm group would have. Tsuki was basically transferred over  to mystic after she couldn't get into a regular sm group. But she won in the end

Yoon Jongshin's contact list on his phone has more resources than SM.

They are also killing it on Spotify, where Japan makes up less of the market. For a lot of groups all their popularity is confined to Korea. IVE is the closest thing to a global gg in the 4th gen. (If you don't count KDA that is)

STAYC are honestly the best KPOP group at the moment imo  Carefree pop bops, every member is a talented visual, they're relatively unproblematic, etc

idk why they're being slept on for the likes of...IVE

Japan is the 2nd biggest market in the world even twice the biggest GG in japan didn’t crack the top 10 on AM global charts but suddenly its not impressive because IVE can actually chart in japan and Apple Music global top 10 at the same time. 
IVE charted on Spotify Australia and entered on BB Canada so yeah they got the global appeal if it was that easy aespa would have entered too

STAYC is great too. They would have been my pick for breakout gg if it hadn't been for IVE, who also have talented visuals, are unproblematic, have bops, along with a sprinkle of that je ne sais quoi... 

They just need to release something more hard hitting and memorable. An Eleven moment

Though I suppose them being from such a small agency is working against them as well

Knetz basically want skin and bone with no organs. She definitely needs to really ensure she’s eating enough calories for her active lifestyle so she doesn’t do harm later on in life.

but pretty much any group with years of activity under their belt that's accrued any kind of western fandom can score some quick little streaming chart positions in the west, yet ive are serving multi-week longevity in a foreign country on their first comeback
