Great!!! Really didn't think we would get anything music-wise this year lol. Glad to be wrong I guess lmao.

 

But I'm so excited for the music, mostly because we actually have mostly no idea what direction she's going. And she always knows how to pick a good lead. Have never been let down by any of her lead singles, I can't wait! 

Her team doesn't care about her catalog at all

Hope they do care for the future singles and has learnt to navigate the streaming era

I don’t think we should expect a whole album but I do hope she releases a couple songs, either hers or with other people (i would love to see her on Cardi’s album)

Don't think they did lol. She definitely needs a seperate team for music for that to happen.

yes, i can't even get excited because of the ''maybe'' 

I think the maybe doesnt change that it is exciting news cuz she wasnt asked about new music, she wanted to talk about it without being asked so it must probably really be “”almost”” ready… well or maybe im just optimistic

I think the same. She had no reason to mention new music, especially while she was at a RB event and she was specifically asked about what’s more to come this year from RB, and she sneaked in music. 
 

She has released music every year since 2009 (or 2008) so like 2022 won’t be any different I feel. 
 

Also, like I said, she has the entire summer “free” so I can see her maybe releasing a song before it ends and another one in the fall. We don’t know if they will film S3 during the winter again, as I’m sure the story in S2 will move forward enough to be Spring at least, unless they want the show to always be set during the winter to continue with the “cozy” feel the show has and is loved for. Maybe they start filming in 2023 next time so she has the entire second half of 2022 to focus on music and a bit of next year. That would push S3 to late 2023 probably. Also we don’t know if she will film a movie soon or there’s one not announced but ready to shoot as soon as it is. There’s so many variables, that it is hard to guess lol. Then we also act like she cannot do two things at once and that releasing an album demands her full attention and involvement at this point in her career since she can release it while filming a movie or a season of OMITB; she did that with Revelación. She could promote it the first two weeks, perform once and then continue with her acting projects.

 

Only Selena and her team knows how everything is planned. We will have to wait and see!

Is it true that she is going to France? I guess for RB right? Why are fans on twitter already theorizing that it will also be about music? SFC acknowledging Selena teasing music is promising though, maybe she releases something soon soon lol

I think people are saying because Hung is already there. And apparently there is a RB event on the 8th. But they’ve had events overseas without her. Nothing concrete yet, seems like just speculation so far.

Also, I would really love seeing Selena hosting some award show this year. Maybe the VMAs, since they are not so “serious”. She could release a song around that time and perform it there.

She has also said the night she won was one she cherishes along with winning the award + the look she wore she still loves it so I think if she is up for it she would do it. She would have the opportunity to perform there which is one of the few things she has left in her music career. And yes, she could host all three.
