Yeah people shocked at Rihanna' singing on stage will baffle me forever. she was having fun and she couldn't care less to "serve vocals", plus obviously she's out of practise. She only gives her best on important TV performances, and there are like a million performances online that the haters can look at to remember Rihanna can sing well and with passion, whenever she is bothered to.

I was very happy to see her singing again ❤️

As you said, this isn't the first performance that's wanting from her. I personally have dragged some performances from her and have been among those who said she should improve because she can. Literally not a single person has said she shouldn't be critiqued. All I did was state the other conditions surrounding the performance.

I mean... I was first in line to drag her for that HORRENDOUS Indian wedding performance but this... it was okay

Average Rihanna performance quality. It clearly wasn't that serious, she was there to pay respect to Hov. She sounded okay. Yes, she put the mic down way too often and her energy wasn't all that but we've seen much worse

Can you even sound bad singing Run This Town? Even I can sing it in the car and sound fine and I really can't sing. It's hardly a song that requires much vocal ability.

Also, did no one notice the part where she did too much singing and continued when Jay-Z was trying to start the second verse?
