Yeah people shocked at Rihanna' singing on stage will baffle me forever. she was having fun and she couldn't care less to "serve vocals", plus obviously she's out of practise. She only gives her best on important TV performances, and there are like a million performances online that the haters can look at to remember Rihanna can sing well and with passion, whenever she is bothered to. I was very happy to see her singing again ❤️

oh, I also hate Numb feat Eminem. as I always say, Talk that Talk and Unapologetic could easily be combined in one to make a perfect 10/10 album. On their own they have their ups and downs. I do love Birthday Cake though. like a lot. not really skips every time, but I think that Jump, Right Now and Nobody's Business (feat you-know-who) have aged badly in my opinion.

Aside from Music of the sun and AGLM (that I barely listen to), my Rihanna skips are Goodnight Gotham, Pose (sorry, I can't help it), You Da One (Rude Boy is 10x better), Complicated (again, sorry, she just screams too much in that song), and the feat with the Maroon 5 (why does it even exist in the first place). Everything else is fair game, depending on the mood though. The no skip album for me are Rated R (never a skip), followed by GGGB (I used to love Question Existing as a teenager, not in my top now lol) and Anti (minus those two I mentioned).

I think we all want to know if we are getting a 10 years anniversary special or not I still remember listening to the album for the first time, at night, with my headphones on. Halfway through Love on The Brain, I had to re-start the song from the beginning and I probably ended up listening to that song 5-6 times in a row before moving on with the rest of the album. 2016 was an insane year for me, full of amazing high and extreme lows and ANTI was the soundtrack for all of it.

I am pretty positive she will mention something about the anniversary. It's the peak of her career as a singer, and I am sure she does love that album. She will never mention again other album of hers like AGLM or GGGB and potentially all the others, but I'd very surprised if she didn't mention Anti. Also, if we get a special 10 years anniversary with BBHM, or 4,5 seconds, etc it will all be done by her label to squeeze some extra cash, she won't even know it happened lol

no, they have set a global release, not a local release, so New Zealand won't have the album earlier. It's still like 15 hours to go for all I think

I think she (they) tried a lot with Rated R, and they didn't get the success they expected. Loud was the answer to it, and it worked to get her back on track. TTT and Unapologetic were weak albums on their own, but as one album it would have been a much better, higher quality product. Anti was a Rated R that made it. Moving forward, should she ever release an album again, she (they) would probably focus a lot more on the album, style and storytelling, without missing the usual hits. (but this could just be a fever dream)

The truth is both TTT and Unapologetic on their own have strong points and massive weaknesses. The two album should have been compacted together and it would have been an incredible record.

Ok, all of the tracks for me are now 10/10 apart from Just Enough. Sleepwalking is potentially 13/10. Also I am re-discovering her whole discography and oh wow.

so after months of the album being out... I feel sad (and almost guilty) that it didn't click with me at any level. I LOVED Gag Order and I was ready for a full-on full of bangers album, but most of the songs (a couple aside) are just forgettable.

Sex is Power is one of the best Marina songs of the last few years. The production needed a tiny extra touch, and the lyrics as well could have improved, but the sound direction is exactly what I hope she would go for. Electronic music fits Marina more than people think it would, I would love if she would take it even further.

This album gives me serious "acoustic Brat" vibe and I am here for it. Love it.

Sex is Power might be one of the strongest song across the whole album Love the production style, and I really think Marina should have gone in that extra electro/trap pop direction (autotune included).

It will be so hard to follow up on her previous record, which for me was POP GREATNESS. I love to work out with Erotic Electronic in my ears lol I am really not a fan of the less-than-3min songs Kesha style to be honest. Cannibalism would have benefited a lot from a great bridge. So far nothing has made me feel like we will have a masterpiece but I like her, and I am hopeful.

Sex is Power is peak season. I think she should have adjusted the lyrics (too similar to the title track) and keep the song on the original album. The amount of LALALA and NANANA is a little overwhelming across the new tracks. The two ballads are cute, Unfamiliar Heavens is the best one of this era. Keys to the castle sadly feels rushed to me, but it fits the theme and the vibe. CJ Baran, thank you for your services. Next era, next producer.

I don't mind the cover, I like that color. I would have taken though a "video game 80-bit" direction for it. Even the original cover, re-made in video-game key, as the tour was pretty much centered around that. I am one of the few people that found the bonus songs on ADIAML awful (apart from Happy Loner), so my hopes are not super high. POP has been my favourite album in 2025 so hopefully this time around I will be pleased.
