This interview really made my thirst for new music get a little quenched. We never really knew why she hasn’t released new music for the past 7 years (except for her pregnancy + postpartum, and the launch of her beauty/clothes empire). For a while, I felt like she lost her appetite and passion for music.

 

Now we know about what’s going on in her head. I understand more and I’m ready to wait a bit longer until she puts out a body of work she feels comfortable to share with the world (and when she gives birth and takes time to recover because we all know that a pregnancy isn’t easy AT ALL). 
 

I know some of y’all won’t agree with me but that’s just how I feel about this whole album situation.

Hearing her speak most candidly about the music situation and showing she hasn't lost her passion has made me feel a bit better with waiting longer. I'm so glad she gave us this insight to her mind; this was the kind of content I wanted with the Super Bowl podcasts/interviews. 

 

Probably my favourite Rihanna interview I've read in a good few years

NOT her openly, sincerely, candidly talking about new music and the pressure around it

 

This is all I wanted from her. Finally we got some clarity!!! The fact that she said it would be ridiculous if she doesn’t release this year is sending me 

 

Knowing her, plans may change again so I’m gonna take this with a grain of salt though. And honestly it’s fine if she doesn’t release this year. Being pregnant again and having another baby this soon will not be easy. I’m just glad she’s been actively thinking about music and even feels pressure to top herself. It’s okay mother!!! You take your time and give us that experimental album

The interview must've been done in early Dec then and she's probably 4 months now....most women find out their pregnant within the first 8 weeks

The interview was probably done earlier than the photoshoot 

The only way we may ever find out the truth is if she releases the Super Bowl Apple documentary
