I'm just hoping that she isn't waiting for Deja Vu's 5th anniversary to release the second cover because that would genuinely ruin my excitement for this project

I still feel like 5/8 means something. Although even as a lead single date, that's optimistic at this point.

This whole Sour project is just so confusing and seems to be a time filler. I thought she was gonna do a song a week or something. But at this point, I think we won't hear about it again until Sour's anniversary in may. So maybe she's not even releasing anything new until after that.

Slightly unrelated. Ik Grammys don't mean anything this days but I still want Olivia to win some more. GUTS was snubbed so hopefully her new album will pull through

It's probably going to be similar to GUTS release album Q3/4 and singles in Q2.

I think she might have worked with James Ford on a couple songs or something. He's a British rock producer who has produced for Fontaines DC, The Last Dinner Party, and Pulp… all bands Olivia has mentioned recently.

He and Dan follow each other on IG. And he's involved with this Warchild charity album, that Olivia (and all his other artists) are a part of.

For reference, with Vampire/Guts, livieshq teased "#Oliviaiscoming" on June 2nd, "Vampire" was announced on June 13th, and released June 30th.

Lead in May would be great. Hope it happens. March seems like a lot of competition which I know she doesn't care about

I still think there might not be a pre-release single for OR3. Interscope might just repeat HMHAS's rollout strategy since that worked well for Billie. Maybe February announcement and April/May album release?

That's so long…that'd kill all the momentum and excitement that the announcement would bring. I feel like if they're teasing something this early, a single's coming soon. Cause surely the album isn't coming til April/may. And I still think that 5/8 tweet meant something, so album then?

I'm surprised that it doesn't seem like she's touring this year if that's the case though. Although I guess she could do a bunch of festivals and things again then tour all of 2027. She did say that Chappell taught her that she can kind of do whatever the hell she wants.

Also maybe they're waiting to see the reception before they commit to arenas vs stadiums.

The War Child collaborative record is coming out March 6th. She's covering "The Book of Love".

Man, my back hurts from carrying this thread. Ok. So, whether it's in a couple months or several months… these are things I'm hoping for from OR3; both with the album and the promo.

Album -

Aesthetically, I hope she veers sways from purple. But also doesn't just jump to a new primary color for the era. I think it's kinda cheesy.

A noticeable progression lyrically and musically…. Not too many songs I hear and think "that could've been on Guts"

More rock/alternative/indie than pop

No collabs/duets. She can collab on other people's albums.

Would looooove a political song. Especially a rock anthem? Absolutely.

A piano ballad that's more jazzy/alternative, like Tori Amos' Precious Things

For promo -

Rolling Stone/Vogue covers

SNL - host & musical guest (but only if the skits are good)

Interviews with Zane Lowe, Chicken Shop Date… maybe John Mayer.

It's not going to happen but I hope she veers away from rock. They are usually my least favorite songs on the record. I want her to try all new things.

Expecting the lead in May

All her punk stuff has horrible longevity

she kinda revived pop rock in the early 2020s but it died down again

now everyone is listening to ballads, dance pop bops or country

I wish Olivia collabed with other artists or had one off singles during off years, a 3 year album cycle in this day and age is so long. The new album better be amazing!
