lol no we aren't. The Sour vinyl probably coincides with the Cover project. RideorDie said in the other thread that they've already heard several of the tracks. The album was played for the label. We also know that Guts Deluxed was delayed three weeks because she was adding "So American" and she was still able to get vinyl pressings out on release.

I will say, the ONE concerning (And I'm pretty sure I'm definitely overthinking this one) is that Olivia/Dan being so stressed out in that photo indicates to me that there could've been some disagreement from the labels end, on the sound of the album.

Did any of you watch the clip of Ari playing ES for her label? They were all laughs and smiles, the tension in Dan's photo has me worried

I get that. I saw a clip of Zara Larsson playing Midnight Sun for her label, and she was giddy.

It could just be possible that Olivia and Dan are just naturally anxious people. Also, I don't think Dan would've shared that photo if the label actually hated it. I'm guessing that the album is less mainstream-oriented and more experimental. She's been moving away from the pop girl image for a while now.

I don't understand why people think Olivia is moving away from mainstream. Everything about her marketing, touring, and image screams expanding her brand and getting her name out there. She wouldn't have gone on that festival run last year if she was trying to pivot from mainstream stardom. She wouldn't be selling random covers of her old singles, if she was going to just go the experimental route. Artists like Lorde and Lana, those who don't care, don't ever do anything like that

Go watch Olivia and Dan's Guts showcase from 2023. They both talked about the recording process and the pressure. They're perfectionists. So many artists liked Dan's post because I'm sure they can relate as well…

Somehow completely missed that comment. They said there were some "interesting" tracks. Whatever that means. Interesting = different to me so I'm excited.

What's killing me is the wait. Like we know that it's right around the corner, but we have absolutely nothing to go off of and we have no idea when anything is coming.

I kinda love it to be honest. Haha The lead up has always been one of my favorite parts of an era. All the theories and excitement. So many different directions she could go musically and aesthetically.

Billie released her IVC version of her debut in March 2024 the her third album in May.

OR3 could come in June 2026.

I think she's definitely done with the album now. Her part, at least. She's in Paris right now for fashion week.

Olivia's cover of "The Book of Love" for the charity album Help(2) is out tonight!

I have a new guess for OR3 title. Bolt. She wore a purse with a giant lock on it to the Chloe show today. Bolt is a synonym of lock. And she loves her 4 letter words with multiple meanings. Bolt can mean lock, but can also mean run. Or lightning. Or an arrow shot with a bow. (Remember when she had that bow and arrow visual on the festival run?)

I love the 7 week gap Kacey is doing between lead single and album drop and hoping Olivia does something like that. She doesn't need 3 months.

I don't really know to be honest, I have such mixed feelings on short rollouts. On one hand it's a better way to keep hype for the new album, but on the other, it completely kills the lifespan of the era overall.

The only way that prerelease singles help these days though is if they all smash, similar to how Sour and Short N Sweet did, or how Ella Langley is doing now

To coincide with an August album release? Surely this is for OR3. And not a purple Sour/Guts aesthetic.
