Also - maybe it will be her biggest crowd yet? The arena she's performing at has a 32k capacity. I don't think it will be 100% full but there will definitely be at least 20k.

Happy for her getting her coin, but equally irked that it's constantly just brand deals on some influencer type tip.

PopEyes today, Air BnB before that, some random thing after that.

Can we just fast-forward to the part where it's actual music she's pushing? I think I'd be less bothered about the overt branding content if it's alongside - or better yet, paired with - music.

But for someone who is so socially INactive, it makes these posts glaringly transparent.

Again, the logical/fiscal side of my mind totally gets it and understands that sis has bills and likely needs to build her brand relationships to leverage against her music later. But still. Let's get a move on lol. Because PoPEyes doesn't even really feel on-brand for her like that-that (athletic, her body being tea, and her purposeful push to come across premium).

I wouldn't expect brand deals pairing with music, as those rarely happen anymore. Examples like Katseye + GAP, Tate McRae + Calvin Klein. None of those featured their own music. And I'm sure as we're closer to music being released, we'll see bigger brands.

On another note, just found out Meli Music Festival is 100% sold out. This is the place that it's taking place for anyone wondering!

But...she's Cardi B lol. Her core offering (music) and her position are solidified.

Her whole schtick is ghetto fabulous (and we love her for it). Mani, by contrast, serves a more reserved (aspiring) Beyonce tea.

All that said, I'm not mad at it. Get money (and hopefully reinvest it into her musical output).

I've been saying this for a while. It's been obvious for a while ..but I feel some of her fans are holding on to this idea they had for her career.

If I were her, I'd be looking for/at a Tinashe like situation.

She still seems indie, but paired up with a major-adjacent team for"label services".

The only thing is, I wonder aloud if Tinashe pulled that off by showing what she can do by herself and thus a partner would want to tag in.

I think one of two things would happen with Mani if she wants that route. She will, a) have to work for it. And by that I mean, be all the way outside and hope to nab her own kinda 'Nasty' moment. Or, b) hope Lydia can package up her stats and current projected potential in such a way that a partner will want to tag in. That would make sense but in the Grammy interview (which I haven't watched in its entirety) they mention that they are working with people already. So I'm guessing maybe that she isn't signed but she's in the process of getting a distribution deal?

my thing is she's working heavy with khris riddick tynes so i imagine she's gotta be signed to or distributed by somebody because he's HOT off "folded" and etc. that's BIG money lol. not that normani doesn't have it but that seems like a label move to pair her with him?
