YOU SEE IT TOO? Someone on twitter said she looked happy like the Fifth Harmony days when she was on stage and I agree.

 

I actually felt she hasn't looking this happy and having fun on stage since Sweetener Tour! Like something just looks different but nostalgic about her. She genuinely looked miserable the wild side era and even album release week.
 

They better book her for more stuff. My fave clip!

 

 

I just don't understand why she doesn't sing live. This is the type of venue she needs to try it out on. Small ..another country ..not as much attention…. so she can get comfortable with singing live …mess up …crack etc… just get comfortable. And her fans don't help by lying that she singing live. It's just frustrating to see ..just turn the mic on

I mean she did sing some parts live though. Those adlibs at the end of insomnia were definitely live and she did sing wildlife live. She like many other artists just use heavy backing vocals. I truly don't blame her she's dancing and she doesn't have the strongest voice. Can we just be happy that she's actually acknowledging she's an artist.

So happy to see her on a stage again, that stage presence and star quality truly is UNDENIABLE. I'm gonna need her to now not disappear again please . Let's keep it momentum going !

Also Normani if you're watching this or happen to see this. I know you don't want to overstep your boundaries with Paris but please let her know that sometimes it's ok to keep movement subtle for song that are mid-tempo. I would suggest maybe slowing down the movement a bit and adding some flexibility to the routines. Something similar to what FKA twigs does. That way we as an audience can get more it to the lyricism of the performance and song.

Hopefully this gives her the itch, officially. Because I truly think she canceled on Usher and BET because of nerves, not because of an injury, I don't care if we saw her out there in a boot.

Now let's be fair. Norman most likely sprained her ankle and didn't want to take the chance of messing it up even more. As a person who is performance driven I can see why she did it. (Look I was even skeptical but tbh that performance wouldn't have did anything in the long run anyway.) Look it's all about being proactive and getting out there. If she decided to prioritize her health for the long run I don't see the issue. Now had she not performed anything this year so would've been pissed but since she's slowly (hopefully) making her return so don't see a problem. 

I loved the performance! Hopefully this means she's back but still I'm expecting her to disappear for a while until the top of the year

The "Normani isn't singing live" discourse is funny because if you go back on some of those "iconic" performances from Janet, Beyonce, Gaga, etc. they were not singing live most of it either. This isn't some new thing. 

With that said, Normani sang a lot live. She let it cut in and out on most songs. Then Insomnia was basically 98% live from all the different clips I've seen.

I'm not expecting much for the rest of the year but I am expecting her to be on festival lineups/touring next year. I want to see this tour she keeps speaking of.

some of the beyhive is really killing me on twitter today, acting like bey has never used a pre-recorded track when she literally uses one for half of her live performances (rightfully so, as she is ALSO DANCING). it's honestly aggravating how some of them treat normani.

the take about normani not singing live is hilarious bc people really doubt that mama can sing and dance live and if you KNOW her, the mic is gonna definitely be on and it was. there was a backing track but she absolutely was singing live.

 

otherwise, normani KILLED it and this proves the potential is CRAZY and everytime normani gets on a stage twitter goes in a frenzy. i hope she knows the power she has and i hope the powers that be see all this chatter and push the button on some things because normani despite the set backs is a literal star.

I fear she might actually be the one holding the videos hostage based off that interview.  At least drop a deluxe with the videos.
