Doja definitely had a concept with this album and stuck to it but it just wasn't for me. I prefer rapper doja over singer doja.

I know there were different influences/sounds, my main point was that its a throwback track like Say So was.

I think its a cute single in the same lane of Say So. But i feel like the music scene has overall moved on from the 80s nostalgia sound. So the fact that she dipped back into the well for an entire album is an interesting choice. Not sure if that was totally her decision or a label pressure. Scarlet was definitely more current/modern.

Yeah honestly r&b is not anywhere near its peak commercially but it's not dead. It's alive, and continually evolving. People are always going to want these emotionally resonate songs.

It's cute but I prefer pop&B Sabrina. I don't know why this got a video unless it's the lead single from her new album. Which if it is….just sounds like SNS deluxe bonus track.

The last thing an artist like Tyla should do is wait too long. Music industry moves fast. She's needs another bonifide hit like Water though cuz I'm not sure how much more money Epic is willing to invest in her. The second album is an important one.

I think it's mostly because her label isn't very smart with their release strategies. Snooze (which is arguably a bigger hit than Kill Bill) and Kiss Me More could have and should have snagged number one too.
