It's that instrumental to start off with, and then more and more elements slowly come in and then the beat does drop for the hook. However, the beat doesn't drop as hard as you would imagine it to from the snippet at the party, hence why Jay and I have said to not let the snippet from the party skew your expectations of the studio version. But with that being said, it makes it a lot easier to listen to. Y'all are gonna love it

I see what jay and wildsidenormani meant about the production now, but I absolutely love it! it’s so catchy too, I think my only gripe right now is the lyrics… “booty on bubonic” is definitely gonna have to grow on me ?

Listening w headphones to the snippet she posted and I can hear more beats coming in when she says 'shake it make it tick tick'   She really needs to come through with a June 17th release. Let's go Normani we believe in you

The lyrics are definitely a lot more *simplistic* than I thought they would be. I thought the song would have a mix of clever lyrics and in your face/direct lyrics just like Wild Side. We’ll see when the full song drops though.

there’s a third and final mix that the original person posted (their tag is behind it) and nija seems to have been involved with this (she’s featured on one version and she does backgrounds on all of them)

The locals aren’t in those quotes. She’s being ganged up on by the toxic a**holes of Stan Twitter. Let’s be real. The ones dragging her aren’t the ones actually supporting her. If they are looking forward to music, it’s only to drag her for when it doesn’t meet their impossible standards.

 

Normani gets dragged for sport and it’s not ok. It wouldn’t be ok even if she was more consistent.
