How do we know if it’s for her? Ally works for magazines, shoots other artists, etc.

I talk to someone on twitter who gave me tea on the Fair M/V and it's timeline of being filmed. They suggested there were delays with CP because of directors visa issue. She's not the insider but she speaks to one. Take it with a grain of salt but she's gotten specific items right

Ally's story just said "Day 1 done" usually if it was for a regular photo shoot, it would be 1 day. Gotta be a video shoot for someone ?

Someone said this already but Ally Green is BOOKED. She does multi-day shoots too. Don’t just instantly believe she’s doing a Normani project. Ally stays busy. Look for dancers, Sean Bankhead, Ashanti the hairstylist, and others making movements.

Yeah, cause Ally’s been working a lot for a couple of years now. She could be doing a magazine spread, another music artist’s content, etc. It is interesting to me though that both Ally and Breyona (exquisite_eye on Instagram) were two of the only people to commemorate Wild Side’s 1-year anniversary music video shoot. The latter’s photographed her a couple of times since so maybe they’ll be back for BTS photos for Candy Paint?

No they’re 2 different women lol. She had 3 photographers on the Wild Side music video shoot. The other one’s been doing a lot of Dua Lipa’s tour photography.

The Twitter insider people (on here) claimed was reliable is saying if Candy Paint does good the album will come sooner.

 

I’m guessing the logic here is, if Candy Paint flops, the album moves to Fall or Q1 2023 and we get another single 100% crafted and chosen by the label.

 

If Candy Paint does good, the album comes out a month after it starts smashing (for that sweet sweet Sales + Streams points for billboard). This would be in line with Latto’s album release timing too (Big Energy started smashing hard then the album finally got a date, a tour, and an additional video for Wheelie).

Yeah, if it flops, it’s over for miss Mani. I’m disappointed she won’t announce the album with the single. Everyone is doing that…

I 80% believe Candy Paint is is not coming with the pre-save. The pre-save is coming closer to album time. The album delay no longer has to do with Normani. I think it’s all label politics and marketing strategy from here on. 

 

Also, now this is making me think they let her drop the Josh Levi collab since Candy Paint may really be coming in July. Whoever said it will come around the Wild Side anniversary may be right in the end

Wait I’m confused. I meant album announcement not pre-save. 

 

We could get Candy Paint with an album pre-save. An album announcement and date though? I’m 80% sure that ain’t happening. I feel they’ll hold the album hostage contingent on Candy Paint smashing. 

 

If the delays this year, scraping of Fair video, etc taught me anything, it’s that her album rollout has more label say now, than before (pre-Wild Side). The larger RCA wants Normani to shake the industry a bit before that album drops.

It’s out of her control at this point tbh. Not an excuse but she needs that green light first if what’s been said about the release date is accurate. Or, they could meet halfway and just announce a fall date and move it up if it meets the metrics they want it to for a pre-October release?

It's definitely out of her control. While I do think she could do more on social, these delays aren't on her. But everyone that's heard CP suggests it's worth the wait so ?
