Well we don't know if that was RCA or Tunji's doing. The streets say it was Tunji that turned it down, luckily he has nothing to do with Normani anymore.  One of the biggest fumbles ever for us.

That was def someone holding her back. It made no sense to not have that verse cleared. It was going to be a HIT. Dua x Normani would’ve been what Megan x Dua became. Massive promo. Plus the song was perfect.

Also, I felt it was just unfair how Normani never go to do a big female collab like with Dua. It would have really could have been a great moment for her career then Wild Side would have came and an actual era would have formed instead of what we’re in now.

 

Granted, Normani has dropped expectations to the ground, so it’s only up from here.

Yeah, If It Ain't Me getting scrapped only to appear as a solo track on Dua's extended album is definitely one of the great mysteries of her career. And the fact that rumours suggested the issues were on Normani's side and not Dua's side make it particularly baffling. Imagine passing on a collaboration with arguably the biggest pop radio hitmaker of the last 2-3 years

Both Normani and Dua were coming off huge pop hits, that makes it even more sad. But anyways - that’s past sisters …… 

 

Candy Paint is coming and 100% believe MV is shoot and done. Let’s go, we’re close.

Unhinged. Do they really believed he joined Normani in Mexico to shoot a major label video for a few hours because they were in the desert wearing the same color shirt?

I think they’re delulu about that. Just a coincidence. But I do think they might work together - or have already. He also posted a vid today dancing to WS

I honestly think they’re just friendly? There’s also the Bankhead connection. She’d make a lot of sense as his tour opener tbh. But I have a feeling she might already have solo dates scheduled.

Twitter Nation is delulu as hell. Also, Lil Nas X does a lot of things intentionally for clout. He’s super aware of what’s going on in stan-twitter and knows both the photo and video would fuel collab rumors. 

Candy Paint is solo, Lil Nas X isn’t even dropping a new project yet. 

Does anyone know anything regarding a date for candy paint? 

I don’t think ppl were saying the collaboration was candy paint. They were thinking it was for Lil Nas’ upcoming project he’s been teasing for a few months now. Personally I think they have a song together. He praises her so openly and they could have a pop hit. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Lil Nas X & Normani on his next track list.

I hope she does because she has not one festival booked i hope it’s for a good reason

There’s no date for that album. C’mon now.
