@Everyone I'm not some industry expert, just a casual fan, but I feel optimistic about Normani coming this May or summer. Candy Paint is a dance/summer/clubbing song.
It must have been Beyonce-Renaissance or SZA preventing delay of Normani. I think the floor is clear/safe for Normani to release this summer.

I wish she would pull a RAYE or even a tinashe and at least make subtle hints it’s her label. Like what on earth is going on? Makes me sad because there are tons of r&b bops being released and I could hear Normani on a lot of them. Super disappointing

I think they’re going the Chloe Bailey route with Normani which means no album until Freaky Tales is ready to release. They’ll combine the album and movie promo. 

 

Freaky Tales has Pedro Pascal on the main cast, so it could definitely be in a Oscar conversation for him at least.

From what I hear it’s a very small part…she just plays a friend of one of the girls. Chole was the lead of her movie. And usually with small parts/cameo like that they aren’t usually part of the overall big press. Probably just Pascal and a couple of the other leads. I wouldn’t base an album roll out on that 😬

No one knows anything about the movie or how big/small the roles are yet. The only known thing is the brief synposis.

 

Also this is the BASE. This is not a single thread. That means this thread is for actual fans. Camila was just at coachella. She's giving you plenty of content. There's no need to make things up in here.

This isn’t true. From what I researched, it’s 4 separate plot lines but they’ll tie together in some form/theme. So that’s why I mentioned Oscar buzz because no one may be considered a true lead so Pablo might get a supporting actor nom if his role is good.
 

Normani and the Marvel Iron Heart actress (whose name I cannot remember right now) are sharing a plot line. Apparently, much of their screen-time is together since they filmed the same days and wrapped the same day. 

 

The other thing I saw was a couple of key players in production and background people on the film specifically praising Normani behind the scenes and saying she did good. So clearly she had some kind of decent sized role if she was able to leave an impression.

How many times we gotta go through this for y’all to finally catch on that there is no real “plan”… It’s just whenever the label feels like releasing/funding it.. Everyone’s always hoping there’s a plan in action but time and time again have been proven wrong with every rollout being a two week promotion at best… The waiting game has grown TIRED. With no communication from Normani it’s kind of just like “you’ll get it, once you get it.” 🤦🏽‍♂️

I read the script lol. There is a true lead. Pascal is the lead. I’m telling you know don’t get your hopes up about this being some kind of vehicle to promote anything.
