Hello @WheresJay - I registered for this forum in the hopes of getting your 2 cents about Wild Side. (You shared so much knowledge and insight in the past - thank you) Anyone else can chime in if they would like.

I am a big fan of Wild Side, particularly the production and its melody. I grew up listening to Britney Spears, JoJo, the Pussycat Dolls. 
I had never anticipated the release of any other song like I had with Wild Side.
Another user said Normani could not top Wild Side and every choice made for the song was chef's kiss - I really do agree with that.

It is like lightening in a bottle - You have the weird combination of a bubblegum pop melody, yet the heavy and hood drum pattern and instruments. You have the bold and colorful electric guitar in the background. Not to mention the production and sound is very minimalist. And you have Normani's sultry and feminine voice. The song emits moods and vibes (which is sort of the trend now).

To WheresJay and anyone else, I think Wild Side is such a unique song. Am I right in thinking it's a unicorn/rare song? Do you hope to hear more of this type of sound in the future/for the album?

P.S. Candy Paint is definitely another anticipated release. That minimalist sound is still there, which is nice.

We can shade Normani for no music but when she does have music out, she gives a cute lil moment. That’s why Fair is still brought up by everyone on stan twitter (and even sometimes on here) meanwhile Normani fans don’t even bring it up. Normani’s flop tracks are  memorable. She has the makings to EAT if they do an album era. 

You could have just quoted me lol. You just made my point babe - FLO is doing what Normani WAS doing, and they are releasing more consistently so it’s becoming associated with their brand. 
 

OUR girl (aka I stan her just as much as you do) just needs to release some music to get her music career back on track.

With Normani never expect the same sound twice, every song she releases is a different vibe, aesthetic, sound. I think that’s why I gravitate towards her she doesn’t box her sound in. I agree WS is one of the best Rnb releases or even general pop girl releases in the last 2 years for sure which is why it debuted top 15 not even Camila has a this high a debut with her own songs.

 

FTN claimed we were getting a magazine cover but instead we got a Fabletics collab line with a fake magazine cover for promotion.

Lmao I’d assume a mag cover could still be on the way, mainly because of the brand deal and music info obviously. It’s easier to set up these things when you have a collab happening with other outlets. We have to wait and see!

The brand deal itself is worrying…it’s not for a brand that anyone knows. It just seems her deals are getting smaller and random. Other than some cute pictures this isn’t doing anything for her. She used to get a lot of attention from twitter from anything she does but even now people aren’t caring as much

That’s what i feel like there really is sabotaged going on bts by somebody’s team that’s stopping her bag. Have you noticed anybody else getting an insane amount of deals lately when she can’t even chart on Spotify?

Yea It's so weird that someone who doesn't release, post, engage, show up at events or do anything at all would be getting smaller brand deals.

Fabletics has done deals with Demi Lovato (back during her commercial peak years back btw), Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Hudson, and Kevin Hart. It’s clearly a brand people wear and know about since those are all A/B list celebs in the US. 

 

Y’all just say ANYTHING when it comes to Normani. This will become my new line to repeat in here: People can be annoyed, mad, etc. about no new music but PLEASE keep the complaints realistic and not just dogpiling the thread with negativity about anything. Fabletics is a decent brand deal for Normani especially considering she’s a performer. 
 

If she was doing a SHEIN deal, then we would have to start asking questions. Not because SHEIN is bad but because they’ve had like negative 2 big hollywood endorsements. 

I think the only thing that Flo reminded me of Normani from that song was if it maybe came after Motivation? The girl with the short hair with the white bra. She reminded me of Normani for some reason esp with the energy of like 2018/2019.
