Girlies, I really think she could have a proper mainstream music comeback if she plays her cards right with this release. Package it with a mass legacy of Madonna media campaign, complete with the Rio show at the top of Netflix (marketed as "the biggest concert of all time") and dropping all the deluxe reissues. It could be mammoth. 

Lmao I would honestly lower my expectations. I do believe they might be working on new music but he was also the music director for the tour so that might be the main focus of what they're doing right now. Also I have abandoned the idea of her getting re-appreciation from the GP (and even the gays), their taste is just so flop these days and the way she carries herself will always clash against the expectations society has for women her age. That doesn't mean she just suddenly stops being the biggest one to ever do it, it's just that all success she has as minimal as it is for someone of her stature is just more icing on an impressive cake

I was thinking about this last night, since I do music production and songwriting as a hobby.

 

Like, how long did she really work on writing Killers Who Are Partying? The production is phenomenal on that song, but....girl, those verses? That melody? Give me a break, that song took like 5 mins to write, and you can't convince me otherwise  Same with I Don't Search I Find, as much as I love it.

As someone who also produce and write songs, this song and rhyming of those lyrics are haunting me ever since I heard it first time LOL

There's such a disconnect between the exquisiteness of the production / soundscape and the songs themselves. Much better written songs with those backing tracks would have made for one of her best albums. The concept was there, but damn the execution... 

 

Mirwais was not the problem on that album lol.

Im guessing it's related to the tour movie but imagine it's M15

Warner has to be on her ass for taking this long

Knowing her, she's probably just re-recording backing tracks to dub over the tour recording
