I love it when talent WINS like this

Imagine just one viral video, this would explode :dies:

Sales have always been strong, streams are slowly picking up showing legs, and radio is already healthy

Ballads tend to receive less playlists than pop songs on Spotify. They don’t fit in as well for curators. We can literally see both songs are being pushed. However, one grew faster as a boyband summer pop bop with TikTok behind it so got the playlists quicker. Hand will get there, but it’s a slow burn; and ultimately it’ll be more organic. ARUTW/MR are her best streams-to-playlist ratio with less than 30m each

Guys, miss @Torturo is accusing me of making up stuff when I told him in those leaked documents we found out the purpose of The Cure's release was to test the streaming game. Can someone please back me up on this?

They should've put Hold My Feet in that shirtless men scene instead of I Ain't Bottoming

It fits when you think about it

The "transforming into a bad b*tch" style of TikTok for GH is kinda great and I can see it being a legit trend tbh, if only we could get some bigger TikTokers onboard :eli:

It is true. I can't find the documents right now but it basically said that The Cure was released to test her ability to get a streaming hit, which explains why the song was actively pushed on playlists and got a TTH placement when not even the single performed at the SuperBowl got that :skull: They also never had plans to release a MV.

Again the cure was a streaming friendly pop bop, she even used soft vocals. It was way more attractive to curators than anything else at that time she put out,  and it was supposed to be. For her horrible position in streaming and her career post ARTPOP, it did cute but it was never gonna be the ‘back to 2009 pop smash’ girlie fans wanted. Ultimately, MR is now at over 700m streams without spending a single day on TTH.

I agree yeah. And I get that they weren't confident in her streaming presence especially coming from ARTPOP, Jazz & Tributes era. But that still doesn't explain how horribly managed the Joanne era was though. Thankfully Million Classics fought for its dear life and ended up with great streams overall and cute recurrents.

Fun fact but Million Reasons actually outstreams some #1 songs from 2016 :fan:

Honestly the fact that it increased is massive! Saturday numbers typically take a big dive for most songs.

GH and HMH would have increased in positions today.

Amazon Music

US Top Songs Soundtracks: #5

US Top Songs Pop: #50

US Top Songs: #84

Wow, we've found a better streaming platform. Its market share is like half of Spongify which is still impressive.
