It's not but she does have another original song on there. Maybe they can push that one for a bos nom

Spoiler

It would be for the best too since BloodPop doesn't deserve to be a 2X Oscar nominee :suburban:

the movie is flopping. I hope this gives her a reality check. She should stop wasting 2 yrs of her life on movies which only give her 10 minutes screen time. I hope that director rots in hell. Perhaps time to book some quick rom/com or better just focus on the LG7 era and world tour. Maybe acting just isnt meant to be for her. ASIB was probably a fluke.

Maybe acting isn't for the BAFTA, Golden Globe, Critics Choice, SAG, and Oscar-nominated actress. :deadbanana:

Do some of you comprehend the words that flow through your brain before posting them? Zero actors would have a job if they gave up after a flop movie since, you know, they all have "flop" movies. The only reality check needed is among fans like you who cannot function in the real world unless your fave popstar gives you something to brag about to strangers online. :rip:

Ga's on her third movie and will get better at picking projects. She puts her trust in these directors and unfortunately the last two have failed to utilize her talents. That's not on her, nor is it a reason for her to quit. What an absurd thing to posit.

Some of y'all really let OGHs get in your heads. Don't let them spoil all the new material for you, it's not that serious.

And sometimes some of actors' most known movies are their panned ones. :chick1:

Like... if Ga is going to have a movie career, she is going to have bombs and successes. This idea that everything has to be a success is at odds with how the movie world works. It's really not like music where an album bombing can actually ruin you. You're allowed much more grace with film because ultimately you're not the director or producer.

Maybe it's good that she was reduced to a supporting role, more chances for an Oscar yass

It's not that she was bad in the movie—quite the opposite. She was so good that it's a shame her character wasn't given more depth. The real issue is Toad Syphillis' inability to write female characters, and that's not on Gaga. She did the best she could

Oh Sannie, you spill Holy Water Teaaaaa 😌 AMEN

My previous post was the overall impression of the MOVIE itself. Ofc Gaga's performance was AMAZING. Really think she could snag an Oscar nom even if the movie bomba/is panned.

I have yet to see a good review of this movie

How did they drop the ball like this?

I think her acting Oscar chances are done with this one.. despite her personal good reviews, the box office will be seen as a failure, and what carried the first film after Phoenix great performance was its BO success

When something like this happens, I always wonder if the actors realize they're doing a bad movie or if they are just surprised with the final result

This is probably the dumbest post I have seen in this base in a while, and there are a lot of dumb posts.:ace:

And if they are surprised that the movie turned out to be bad, I wonder how they feel about it, after all that effort.

if it's all bad it would be 0% on rotten tomatoes. Stop putting needless negativity in here like why are you constantly feeding that vibe here?

Dont be so dense, theres 11 positive reviews on MC, and I counted more than 20 on RT

A film flop happens all the time on Hollywood, c'mon now

Some here acting like Ga's is the only actor who had a flopped or panned movie and saying acting is not for her. :skull: bffr.

Even great actors had flop movies.

Our girl just needs to pick a great director and script.

I'm talking about social media. Everyone who saw it is saying how disappointed they were with it.
