I really wonder what's their plan with the lead, though. It's so weird seeing a release so far from the album date nowadays. Even if it smashes, it will be weak around LG7 time, so they will need a second hit to make the album sell. Maybe they will pull a Chroma 2.0 and release a The Weeknd collab, but still. What if the lead bombs, though? Or pulls a Stupid Noise? They will just pretend it never happened and wait for 2025? Also, Gagaween is over November 1st. Will the song be able to serve longevity, specially as Xmas season begins?

i hope they have everything they had for stupid love promo wise ready for this new single and era cause wdym a song as ugly as stupid love got a massive playlisting deals and a big radio deal but a new (and better) gaga song wont 

just look at how massive the radio promotion was for SL

It would be a serve if everything came out on October instead but idk if she's about that. I also don't think her team would let the Vogue story run if it were incorrect.

Vogue interview happened roughly a week before the Olympics I believe, so it does yes. However her team haven't been quick to debunk the article and ask them to change the February date so I'd say it's pretty accurate. I know Variety ended up changing their article on LG7 having a 2025 release, but I wonder if they were asked to take that out so that Vogue could have the scoop since she was on the cover.

I'm sure they won't miss it with the lead this time. However, they may go full experimental and the song could end up bombing for how different it is.

 

Guess in a month we will find out. I doubt Interscope will pay for big promo if the song doesn't sound like a hit to them, though.

 

It is definitely gonna be dark, they will go full on Halloween / scary mode for this one.

That Vogue magazine feature was included in the print edition, so there's a lot more vetting and oversight by an artist's camp to ensure the information is correct and accurate prior to publication. It's not like the Variety article where they were just speculating. 

 

Anyways, @Aston Martin's pick of October 11th makes the most sense to me. Although, I secretly want to spite Fraud Phillips and release it at midnight on the 4th

I give it 1-2 weeks max, and DWAS will be back to massive radio updates. Songs always stall at this point on pop and after a few more days for listeners to get familiar with it, it will explode again.
