Unsure why they're continually so unwilling to play her. :skull:

Really? The ONLY  reason why DWAS is not doing exceptional on the radio is that Intercourse never payola her songs even at her absolute peak (except BTW). Idk why y'all still so confused why radio doesn't play the #1 streaming song ww. Labels are keeping the radio alive with their payola and in turn the radio boosts their artists songs on the hot 100 while Billboard also get an incentive from the radio (thanks to payola) otherwise radio would be a dead metric DECADES ago. It's all business at the end of the day.

Yas slay but what does it mean :WAP:

Viral charts capture the songs gaining the most buzz on Spotify.

Chart placement is based on a few factors:

  • If a song has recently risen in plays
  • How often people share the song
  • How many people recently discovered the song

Viral charts are entirely data-driven.

Spotify has a series of Viral 50 playlist/chart for each country and global. I'm not sure how Spotify measure the virality, but I guess it's the counting of how often a song is shared/used/referred to on social networks linked to spotify.

Need Gags to snatch the record for most days at #1 on Global Spotify. DWAS's spent 17 days so far. It needs 34 or 35 to snatch.

Okay well, to rephrase the question - why wouldn't Interscope be willing to pay the radios to play DWAS, the top song on streaming at the moment, and secure one of their artists another #1 single, but would be willing to pay to have BOAF played so much? Like when we're talking about Interscope how much of a label-wide issue is that really vs. a more personal team issue that Billie's team are maybe more competent than Gaga's? I think most of us know the answer to that, and I understand US radio to be money driven and all business, but I still think regardless it's interesting WHY she's not getting her name on the radio. Does she herself not want Interscope to pay for radio spins for her? Do Interscope feel she's not worth their cash to spend anymore? I just find it interesting.

The increases on Spotify around the world are great, especially in LatAm. Hopefully it's following the track of Asia where DWAS has become massive.

A lot of songs on Viral 50 Global are latin songs. Maybe the chart is mostly driven by LatAm countries. :lakitu:

I know, who could've guessed? :jonny2: DWAS has a huge lead over the other older songs too, so I guess our only threat for the record is new releases. Abel. :dancehall:

US Radio Update

25. (-1) Die With A Smile - 28.75 AI (+0.09)

Gaga at her absolute peak was never a radio force because for some odd reason Interscope never invested to payola her songs to the charts. She's not Rihanna or Katy Perry where their labels cared about their radio performances. There's a reason why only Paparazzi and BTW reached #1 on the radio. And this were the years when she regularly logged multiple songs on the IFPI charts, she was the only artist doing that and yet when you look at her radio stas from the get go, they are abysmal.

Personally, if Gaga wants to, she's capable of mobilizing Interscope to payola her songs on the radio. Lady Gaga is one of the most important artists of the label and as far as we can see, she has a healthy relationship with them.

I think Gaga never really cared about radio payola from the beginning. Maybe Interscope offered her from time to time but Gar declines and just tell them to give the budget to up and coming and younger artists ( like Billie etc) :suburban:

Where are people seeing that it had poor callout scores? Wasn't the last report last Thursday and it's released each Thursday?
