Most weeks this year have been incredibly competitive. At this point, who knows if Taylor will release 5 extra songs from TTPD and sell it as the Superdeluxe version and be #1 on the August 5th week. Also pretty reminder that Reputation TV is coming to get at least 4-5 weeks at #1 this fall

True. She is yet to release the anthology part of the album so relistically she can block whoever she wants to its a risk thats going to happen but lets just hope the music is good and has longevity

Taylor can release another album, The Weeknd can release an album, Rihanna can release an album, and why not God himself?
The key is to focus on good critics, album longevity and touring.

I think you all misunderstood what I meant. I personally don't care at all about how she will perform. If it's a success, good. If it's not, I couldn't care less. As long as I love the music, I'm fine! 

 

But that doesn't mean that the label won't push for a #1; they will try to help her achieve that because it's good press. If Gaga does well in the charts, the label benefits from that. If Gaga is successful, the label benefits from that, etc.

 

I'm not saying that Gaga can't release her album because other artists are releasing theirs. I'm just saying that realistically, since they know in advance who is releasing what and when, they can schedule her album in the safest way possible. If a week is less crowded, the label can spend less on playlisting and "promo." It's beneficial for them to do so.

Since we are speculating when she could release her album, it's more likely to happen when she has less competition. That doesn't mean it's gonna happen; it's just a logical guess.

 

Gaga has nothing left to prove, and I doubt she cares about the numbers, but her label will always care as long as she keeps making money for them.

I think it's safe to assume that Gaga will go #1 in most weeks even with some competition (excluding Taylor). I do wonder about the timeline though because she only really has three options; 1) release the lead in the coming weeks and album in August, 2) overlap between LG7 and JFAD and 3) release LG7 after JFAD/early 2025. I think the first is most likely but wouldn't be surprised to see music come much later in the year
