First of all, Gaga has basically full artistic control over her music and can release whatever she wants, the only part Interscope has a say in it's choosing singles etc and it's been like this since the end of ARTPOP. Or do they think Interscope wanted Gaga to release a country pop / soft rock album full of ballads when the singles they chose (PI, A-YO) were the furthest from the rest of the album? Or do they think Interscope wanted a house album after Shallow becoming her biggest song ever in most of the world? Let's be fr, if Gaga wants to release an album of, idk, experimental jazz, she will. Gaga's bigger than her Interscope team and she's been able to release whatever she wants since she renegotiated it. Even then, why believe a joke made by an insider that has been saying wrong stuff (not intentionally but yeah) since he announced the release date for Chromatica on May 29th? She's doing both, teasing (teasing doesn't mean it's coming in a couple weeks, but definitely not next year, probably mid Q2 for a single and late Q2 / early Q3 for an album) and also documenting her studio process.
