Agreed, but I personally don't think the rock-genre is very flexible and open to eccentric, out-of-the-box interpretations to begin with, because such arrangements are put under evaluation whether they are rock or pop or electronic or something else entirely. 

 

I don't like the completely overhyped ASIB songs or Diamond Hearts, so I'm way off ever wanting a rock album. But I think if a rock album is to come pass, I'd like it to be TF/M ballad-esque. Brown Eyes and Speechless are still top tier to me.

Yeah, electronic music is the most versatile genre. Gaga should stay in that lane if she wants. I’m open to her exploring something out of left field if she wants for LG7, but we have to be real and accept that something outside of pop will likely not be acclaimed, streamed by the Gp, or be beloved by fans.

On one hand, I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt if she wants to do a full rock album, because she has yet to really meld her eccentric pop production, song writing and visuals with the genre, so doing so might actually be quite promising. But on the other hand, I don't like ASIB and I don't like Joanne, and Hold My Fart is one of her worst songs period, so I'm not eager for rock-Ga regardless of my liking of her early pop-rock ballads, which worked for me because it was unabashedly pop and her voice still had that cute pop girl nasal tone that just brings me back to that early 2010s era of pop. 

 

I do not expect rock-Ga to be critically acclaimed or beloved by fans. And if someone says '' her image and vocals fit rock music better '' then I have to say when she enters the rock-genre full force, she is also going to be compared to female rock geniuses of her era and of the eras past. And that is a hard audience to crack, especially for a pop star. Rock genre is full of women with amazing, AMAZING vocals to boot, so she won't stand out just through having a great voice, which she does whenever she does pop music.
