Feels like she's done chasing monumental pop success but I don't think she's done with electronic music. It's the genre that put her on the map and she's spoken deeply about her connection to the genre in numerous interviews from 2009-2012. It'll be a while until we get another electronic record, though. Like the 2030s. Her next few studio albums will likely be (and should be) other genres.

 

Now that the strikes seem to be ending, LG7 coming early 2024.

I just think Joanne having poor fan and critical reception will prevent her from fully delving into rock again unless her mind is just 100% set on pursuing that.

Saying songs like Alice, Rain on Me, 911, and Replay do not have the "Gaga touch" is very strange. The Diana Ross 'It's My House' sample in 'Replay' is one of the coolest, most unique things in her entire discography, especially since we now live in a world where most people sample things in such a basic, boring way.

 

With that said, I am always down for her ditching people and working with new collaborators.

That person is trolling, as usual and is waiting for any kind of response. Don’t get involved, lol. And you’re right, all of these songs have that Gaga feel, they’re just also 90’s house inspired which is what made them different and exciting.

Not to mention that tracking a possible new awards season race with the various precursors + box office is definitely more interesting (for me at least) than checking Spotify streams.

Why? Of all the delusions starting from this fanbase.. I don't think it's that unlikely that she will eventually goes in that direction, probably not a pure rock or metal album but something pop-rock like 'Plastic Hearts', I can see her easily doing that.

 

I mean, from all the supposed collaborations that have been discussed in here in the past months naming all the possible mainstream artists, at the end she's doing an unexpected RollingStone one, if we actually have a guarantee with her it's that everything could happen, even the less expected directions or collabs.
