Kinda agree. I would have been down for a cute dance-heavy video possibly in reference to iconic videos throughout the 80's that made heavy use of backup dancers as opposed to being story-heavy, but there were absolutely no directorial choices made to establish even a minor plot as those 80's videos would have (the title card before the video was messy as **** and super exposition heavy lol.) I also don't think there was enough of a concerted effort directorially to differentiate between the different kindness punks, I wish that the aesthetic for the kindness punks was more pronounced and iconic in general given that we didn't get to explore them much throughout the era but yeah it just wasn't coherent enough for me even to be a cute superficial video about having fun, coming together, and letting go of pain. Sucks because there was a lot of potential both with the kindness punks and the desert imagery

Alice is literally a masterpiece.

Plastic Doll is so underrated. It kinda sounds like a Katy Perry song, but it’s so catchy.

It would be an amazing recognition, but it's not fundamental Oscar wise, majority of the actresses who wins that one don't win the Oscar, I think Gaga needs and has more chances to win with the SAG group that in the last years has has been more in line with the Academy, however it's better having low expectations, we saw how things can be tricky in that department.. It's too early for these discussions and it might backfire.

The SL video sucked because back the time iPhone 11 was not capable of outside "professional" video shooting, no amount of post-editing/ CGI would save the horrible white balance, the unstable motion tracking and potato quality that "camera" has. On paper it did delivered decent result (a proper music video) and we should just moved on from that

The wardrobe for SL video was a colossal FLOP. I can't she served us THAT right after ASIB. I'm glad she picked her fashion game up for ROM and 911 videos.

the problem, i agree, came with the wardrobe.

This is why i understanfd monsters saying she has changed - she would've put her own money into SL in the past to make the costumes expensive to make up for the limitations of filming on an iphone.

Had she done this and not worn a diaper and a borat mankini, along with the backing dancers looking like they went into playschools' dressing up basket it would've been a cute mv

I love the song Stupid Love, but the Stupid Love music video was a disaster. 
 

It was filled with editing mistakes. With the crystals on the rocks and the tribe logos in the corner of the screen. The costumes for the extras looked so cheap and messy. 
 

I liked the concept of it being like a 90s power rangers episode mixed with sailor moon, but it could have used more distinct 90s references. A sailor moon transformation during the prechorus would have been magical. Going from a regular kindness punk to queen of the kindness punks 

 

The video was obviously rushed because of the leak. Especially when you compare the quality of the video to Rain On Me and 911

The outfits on the SL video were truly ugly and not even flattering, It truly never made sense waiting 2 months for adding those awful visuals to a 2 months leaked song.

 

'SL' should have been immediately released the moment it leaked on streaming platforms with a lyric video or something and see how it performed and then eventually investing on a decent music video if the song was taking off and if not moving on with a proper not leaked first single, waiting 2 months to officially release a leaked song in the streaming era was absurd, especially just for adding to it that awful music video, the Apple partneship was pointless considering pop music is not exactly popular over there and it didn't do much for the song at the end, a disaster.

 

That being said, I truly hope she will eventually return to serve visuals with her next projects and I mean high level ones, not for a matter of promo, but for the art.

SL a bigger hit in Fad's base thread than in real life/Spotify, why?

For me Sour Candy and Rain On Me can hold up in quality with likes of The Fame. We deserved a MV for SC and more big performances. Imagine the France and Japan promo looks etc
