The way all her most successful ballads- Shallah, Always Remember Us This Slay, Million Smashes- are grounded, folkier cuts and NOT the overblown Celine attempts. Even the one time the GP responded to Hold My Panned was when it had a rockier, soulful arrangement. 

 

She needs to have her Carole King/Dolly Parton/Dixie Chicks era, not an AC power ballad screamo era I fear
