She's playing co-star to the most iconic comic book villain ever, in a movie where Gaga's performance will most likely make or break the film. On top of that, Margot Robbie is currently playing this character, and even though pretty much the entirety of the Suicide Squad films have been let downs and her character has been written as a one note, Margot's hot and has FT on her side. Gaga's not traditionally hot so the first look of the character alone will bring criticism her way.

Don't expect Gaga fans to understand any of this, though. They still think that in 2023, promo = surefire hit. All that would've happened would've been Gaga looking desperate pushing a decade-old song.

 

They still treat her like she's a new artist who needs hits on BBH100 even though she just nabbed her fourth Oscar nomination and is going to be starring in one of 2024's biggest movies.

I have secondhand embarrassment for anyone caring this much about the commercial success of a track older than the careers of Gen Z artists.

 

Gaga could literally never place in the top ten of the Hot 100 again and would still have a career more legendary than 99% of music artists.

 

Only serious stans are focused on J:FAD's quality, reception, and success. Success stans need to start reconciling with the fact that Bloody Mary is probably going to end up a song like Always Remember Us This Way, a lower-peaking long-term smash with longevity (which is better than a high-peaking song that becomes forgotten like Stupid Lead Single.)

If ASIB had been a fluke this would have been true but between her acclaimed HOG performance and signing on to major studio blockbusters, Gaga's film career is taking equal importance to her music career. We don't stan a pop artist anymore. We stan a pop artist AND actress. Get used to it.

Wait... DC and HBO are owned by Warner so Joker could absolutely be a path for her there. Warner is banking on Joker being big so if it is they might throw anything she wants at her.  

I don’t think White Lotus is the right show for her frankly. Would prefer something high concept like House of the Dragon. 

I wish they would at least put DWUW ft Christina on ARTPOP. Yeah it’s not as mixed well as the R Kelly version but it’s something. It’s a great song that deserves its spot, just unfortunate about R Kelly

Tbh I fully expect her to work with HBO whenever she does TV work again. She already has a solid working relationship with Warner Bros and HBO(Max) would be a perfect fit for her current brand as an actor. Just imagine her starring in their Sunday "Appointment TV" slot
