Mileys album was crafted differently and had a range of genres, as well as a ballad that is aging extremely well. Gaga’s album was always going to free fall even bedore release interscope knew that and added BP/Ariana, I don’t care what the Gaga base think a dance pop album by an older woman is a recipe for free-fall especially back in 2019/20

We are in a dance-pop wave now, surely it’s a matter of time before one of Chromatica goes viral and it goes back to 1m+ ( which still isnt great ) A 2020 alnum with a top 5 and #1 should be doing 2m, I do think GP weren’t mad on this unlike her fans which I guess was the plan. But in fairness, outside ASIB which was unique Gaga has struggled to sell her music outside singles

With dance songs, theres the risk they are perfect for playlists and radio and adverts, but people just won’t engage beyond that (Avas everytime I cry, Summer Renaissance)

 

Aside from the gays, the 40+ demographic kinda stanned chromatica especially in the UK - my mum n dad LOVED 1k doves
