Yeah I really love ROM, the best production on Chromatica, it hit everything too - like a pride classic, it had Ariana Grande, it was super acclaimed for that year, it not getting a ROTY nod was weird i understood the album but not ROM. i feel like the BP/Ariana songs really hold up to her her old work

 

The only thing with ROM is it sounds 100x better for me over loudspeakers then headphones, it can be jarring especially Gaga's intro. @Marry Illusion Glory i think this is a big part of why TF dance music does well on streaming despite it's genre, these days doesn't have a pop tone and the instrumentals are harsher vs. ear candy.

Yes I agree, I wanted her to have another dance-pop hit (because all her hits since Applause have been ballads, Million Reasons, Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way) and she truly delivered. Rain On Me reminded me of the golden age of pop girls ; it was like a 2011 type of event.

I'm still kinda shook by how acclaimed ROM was tbh. It's a fantastic song and one my faves from both ladies I stan but I wasn't expecting it to be very well received critically. 6th most acclaimed song of 2020???  

ROM was voted The Best Song Of The Year 2020 by various important media outlets, Chromatica had some of her best reviews. Yeah, she delivered.

It's an amazing song, but it also came out at the perfect moment. A narrative is more important than quality for those types of things tbh

Like if Covid hadn't happened ROM would not be The Guardian's no.1 song of 2020

True. I wish the song didn't come out in such horrible circumstances. That summer would have been the best since summer 2011 for us.

she is so unlucky to have this type of haters. its not only some online forum hate. 

her haters are universal and they’re everywhere.

from music business, to critics to movie industry to voters to online and so on… 

 

dwuw didnt deserved to be deleted from everywhere. something like this never happened before and it was unfair. 

she did the most she could do and removed it because she didnt wanted it to hurt her success in 2019 and award chances.

Totally agree with the ROM praise. It's one of those songs by Gaga that only she could come up with, I couldn't imagine it done by anyone else tbh. 

ROM really is incredible. One of her best.  The release was an event and I hope we get something like that again (in a "normal" world) one day.

ROM is one of her best song ever, it was brilliant how Gaga and Ariana voices worked so well together, a real-proper collaboration between two vocalists contrary to certain songs that are presented like collab these days when in fact they're not.

Chiropractica would've been a 10/10 with some cuts. People love to hate BloodGod but he did a great job in most of the tracks.

Diane Warren won it 2 years ago... However these small awards bodies will go with Rihanna for the majority, the movie has just been released these days and the song has been spammed by radios, but mostly it's the first time she's in contention for something like this, Gaga just won recently, they won't push her again so soon and it's fine.
