the song had a massive streaming push on all platforms. I've never seen a song being plastered all over Apple Music's page like that before. Not to mention the ad that was forced upon people on Youtube and the commercial on TV, ton of billboards all over the country etc.

In SL's case, I think it would've done the opposite effect  At least on streaming when the song was pushed, the GP wanted to hear the sound of it, they clearly said NO immediately. Imagine if she performed it on TV, nobody would even want to stream/buy it

We're literally weeks away from a new single and y'all are still busy replanning the SL era  It's time to move on. Let's just hope that HMH receives even half the digital and streaming push that SL had (spoiler alert: it won't)

Where does that rumor about next week come from? 

I know that some soundtrack singles come out weeks and even months in advance, but I still feel like HMH would make more sense if it comes out in May. However, I would LOVE to have it as soon as possible + imagine if they immediately include it in TV promo spots for Top Gun   whew!!

Yea, but at least make a thread about average per a show in Vegas, and then include both Gaga and Katy, a subtle shade. This way it's like "HAHA look at Katy's numbers!!"

And yup. Replanning SL era for the 58928th time sure sounds a lot more fun and exciting than getting to hear a new song and following its promo campaign and updates.

Stupid Love did what it had to do for a leak with a dampened, divided response among pop heads and died a quick death in part because it was released around the start of a global pandemic that killed certainty even in her core base; it was meant to be a quick jolt before the rest of the era kicked in and nothing did, and it was left to die (except on radio where aside from stalling on pop in the US it was widely consumed, especially here in the UK); It’s been memory holed as result after she restarted with Rain On Me, except in the hearts of some of her stans who will never let it go.

 

If in some hypothetical it reached #1 it would have deserved to reach #1 that week, and if it suffered the same forgotten fate afterwards then no one would care — do you think other fanbases would begrudge a #1 single no matter how quick it fizzled? Honestly.

 

Anyway, I just know that Hold My Hand will be a cute, pleasing moment — a true classic soundtrack single feel that we don’t get much of outside Bond. I’m ready
