Why? She's literally performing in Japan and two days later in California. Plus 5 shows in 4 different European countries in less than 10 days.

 

I'm the first to come up with the fibro issue, but it's still easy to schedule a few sparse Latin American shows. I even thought it'd be great for her to recover a few months and then go back on stage in November.

As a Tony Bennett stan myself, I'm a bit disappointed that it's his farewell album. It should've been more emotional, and should've included re-recordings of his classics. As much as I like it, I don't think it makes him justice. But I guess they didn't plan it to be his final piece of work.

I like it for what it is, a sombre and mellow yet in some ways triumphant farewell. It might not have done the right justice to Tony's legacy but imo it did close out Tony & Gaga's chapter and decade long friendship beautifully, which I think was what they were really aiming for and achieved for the most part. But I do respect your opinion. And it's very plausible that it wasn't intended to be his final body of work. He had asked Gaga to do a Cole Porter covers album right after C2C's success but it just so happened that it became his final work due to the circumstances and how everything unfolded. I'm really glad that Tony became such an important part of her career and life when she needed him, though

From what we know this album has been recorded mainly in 2018 and it lead to nothing until his sons asked her if she wanted to make it his last record more recently.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't able to record anything else so they decided to release the materal he made with Gaga as a final thing.
