Doja was supposed to open for The Weeknd so who knows. I personally doubt it since it probably would've been announced by know but there's no way they're too big to open for Gaga imo. Outside of Asia they're still doing smaller arenas.

Doja opening for Abel was definitely a weird choice too imo especially in North America but she could benefit from his global fanbase. You should also take into consideration that BP only have one global tour so far and it happened in 2018-2019. They're muuuch bigger now and can easily book some stadiums in the Americas and Europe but they're constantly being sabotaged by their sexist company with the lack of the releases. 

 

It would make more sense to have Rina or Bree open for Gaga imo.

Thats true, but Korean lables are much more strict that Western labels, I doubt YG would let the bigger girl group rn be an opening act
