Even those songs, as great as they are, do not reach some of the ridiculous highs of that chaotic, TEXTURED Abra chant and the operatic Bloody Mary-on-roids ascension to heaven her vocal delivery provides on this masterpiece. I've never been so happy with a single release in Gaga's career and as a stan since 2009 when I saw her rising out of the water in the Poker Face video, she continues to amaze and bewilder (and bewitch ) me in the best ways, surprising us at every turn even when we EXPECT her to give us dark pop. She shot straight out of that demon cannon and into the deepest depths of our brains with this dopamine-laced, earworm after earworm MEDUSA of a spell. She's always worked within a tight circle production-wise, but there was a huge talent hole to fill on Chrome since she didn't feel like producing then.
