before BIBO, or around that time, Carly and Hilary had an interaction, right? I remember a picture of one of them in the studio, maybe sitting on a couch, and the other commenting it. Am I crazy or it did happen?

I don't recall seeing a photo of them together, but I remember they followed each other on Instagram and Carly commented on one of Hilary's posts once. Carly unfollowed her once Hilary went public with Matthew, though.
 

The only couch photos I can remember are of Hilary and Lindy Robbin's working on Outlaw, and then a photo of Hilary with Tove Lo in the studio in early 2015.

Ugh… I have this memory of that interaction happening. The picture wasn't them both together. But in my mind the comment was alluding to a collab or something. Do you remember what Carly commented on that Hilary picture, though?

Spent the last minutes trying to find that picture and comment but nothing. Google used to be better lol

 

but funny, most of the media used to say Carly and Matthew broke in 2015, and now her wiki page says it was way back in 2013. All these year I had this idea he left one to hook up with the other… 

 

hoping for a Joel situation then hahaha where in the future Carly and Hilary can be friends so we can get a collab!

Unfortunately I don't remember what Carly said, just that it sparked a lot of comments of people wanting them to collaborate. And then somewhere along the line, Hilary and Matthew were in some car together and the Call Me Maybe video was playing and Hilary was stirring him up.

I remember that! I think it was in a taxi while she was in NY filming younger hahahaha oh lord

tHE SONG IS FIRE. why do i think it might be about her relationship with Jason hmm. He was much older than her wasnt he? And she was mid-20s when she dated him.

I'm speechless, I didn't have any expectations about the sound, but it's so catchy, the lyrics are the best and the music video is amazing!

Her interview piece with Vogue is a breath of fresh air. She has passion for her career again and it's so lovely to read that the end goal of this comeback for her is to be reunited with us onstage again. She deserves this resurgence and I hope the journey continues to fulfill her creativity and inspires her to keep going, no matter how things play out. 

And in case nobody has noticed yet, she owns her master recordings and the music is being licensed through Atlantic Records.

Then it was Hilary that unfollowed her after a while, I presume because something bad happened between Matt and Carly when they split.

 

anyway, it looks like Hilary owns her masters. She set up a company called Sugarmouse, Inc.

I genuinely feel like a guest appearance at the Jonas Brothers concert this weekend is a for sure thing. She'll come out singing What Dreams Are Made Of and then do the first live performance of Mature. 

Also, I'm thinking it's possible she might do a Vegas residency for the US and the "proper tour" will be for the international markets she has demand in, but it'll just be the residency show taken abroad.

I really hope she doesn't do a Vegas residency. I want to see her so badly and there's no way I'll make it to Vegas. I live on the other side of the country.

I noticed that! But what does that mean…? She can perform those songs freely in their original versions? I know Taylor owns her masters too but i dont really care about diving deeper into that until now.

She'll see most of the revenue from however successful this new era is + she has complete control over the use of the music when it comes to commercial synchs, etc.

Do we know something about Spotify's playlisting? I check some of the best and she's not there... thank God she is in the New Music Friday one, even if a bit low.
I expected Atlantic to invest more on playlisting, with some cute ones Mature should have crossed 1M easily... now I think it's in the range of 300-500k first day
