It is a bit disappointing that Hilary's going up against Katy on Thursday, but hopefully that'll work in Hilary's favor as it should garner more word of mouth if people are like "new Katy Perry AND Hilary Duff music?" across social media. Maybe we'll get extremely lucky and Taylor Swift will post about listening to Mature.

Katy debuted with I Kissed a Girl back in '08, around when Hilary first stepped back from the pop scene. Yea I guess it is a bit unfortunate how she doesn't have the "moment" all to herself. There's room for everyone but like ...it's our first moment in 10 years and we obviously want her to shine as brightly as possible.

 

This could ultimately lead to pop fans comparing the 2 songs, which could potentially work in her favor?

The episode should be over an hour in duration so I'm very excited to hear something in depth on the eve of the single release. Hopefully Jake will not ask her too much about her Disney days and will keep it current and music focused. 

Now that Hil announced her comeback, everyone forgot Christmas songs and Mercury retrograde and decided to release something as well. 
 

but jokes aside… let's just enjoy our moment, we waited for this for sooooo long. Let's hope for a good song and have fun, what comes after that is out of our hands.

The song is going to be fantastic but I feel like it's not going to be as bombastic or as pop heavy as people are expecting it to be.

Yeah, I don't think it's going to be "hilary tried to save pop" ala sparks. But I guess we knew that already, every album of hers is sonically different, and in the end pop is there somehow. 
 

Guess we're going to meet in the middle: not folk as some are afraid of… and not dance pop like the majority are expecting.

outlaw is truly one of her worst song ever

I am not in the US but I remember buying iTunes cards for my US apple account to support her US sales numbers back in the days.
