Well I mean you have to keep in mind that disco is easier to promote on radio than psychdelic music. If they're going with a song that'll kinda form the bridge between the FN sound and the DL3 sound then it makes sense for a smooth transition. She can always serve a in your face song with the second single

Yeah but this was not her team's mentality at ALL last era. DSN in 2019 was def not a safe sound like BMH was for a lead song to go on radios.

 

I don't think @popmusic was likening BMH sounding-wise to TS but more in a numbers kind of way, as it will be a single after DTN

You are so right btw  I think I’ll be more shocked if Kanye actually releases on the 3rd and it’s not just a listening party of some unfinished stuff

Anyways she needs a statement as a lead. She doesn’t need to pick the most out there song either but picking a BMH esque song as a lead after FN would scream mistake.. and so I’m hoping it’s just purely about numbers comparison and not that the lead actually sounds like BMH

Nah I'm pretty sure it was BMH... that, Don't Start Now and Physical all had their videos shot and ready to go before the era started.

Literally one of the main reasons I started stanning her was because she endorsed Bernie during the 2020 primaries. She’s always so tactful and well informed, so besides her great music, she’s a great person who I don’t feel embarrassed to stan.
